Rambling "New Year's Eve"

In our nation's history of thousands of years of building and defending the country, there have been many "New Year's Eve" nights.

According to Eastern beliefs, it is the last night of the old year, preparing to welcome the new year with better things. There are countless "New Year's Eve" moments. We cannot forget the especially important milestones when the country changes, saying goodbye to the old to enter a new phase.

That was when Ly Cong Uan issued the Edict to Move the Capital (1010); that was when Ly Chieu Hoang abdicated the throne to her husband and established the Tran Dynasty (1225) - one of the glorious dynasties that defeated the Yuan-Mongol army three times to keep the country peaceful; that was when Nguyen Ai Quoc, after more than 30 years of wandering around the world, returned to the country to read the Declaration of Independence, giving birth to the first democratic republic in the Southeast (1945)...

Those "New Year's Eve" were great, earth-shattering, and heaven-shaking historical moments - a revolution with all its progressive significance.

From that "random" introduction, I secretly thought that June 30, 2025 is the last day of the old era and the night of June 30 is "New Year's Eve". July 1, 2025 can be considered the first day of a new era - an era of striving for the goal: Rich people, strong country, fair, democratic and civilized society.

This "New Year's Eve" is not only a time marker but also has profound humanistic revolutionary meaning.

First, say goodbye to the old to move on to the new. It is necessary to affirm that the "old" has fulfilled its historical mission. Without the old, our country would not have the "foundation - form" as it is today.

Second, after "New Year's Eve" is a new era with new things full of promise. As President Ho Chi Minh said, the gist is: the new has positive elements but is also extremely fragile and weak. We need to be steadfast and steady in welcoming and caring for the new.

The Party's policy and the National Assembly 's consensus to enter a "new era" from institutional change, streamlining the apparatus to rearranging boundaries is in line with the inevitable laws of development; meeting the needs and aspirations of the entire people.

Third, every revolution has its "side effects". Moreover, this revolution "touches" everything from the tangible to the intangible. In which, from the concept, perception to the interests of each organization and individual is easy to see. The remaining problem for the "revolution" to succeed is to once again be imbued with the ideology and advice of President Ho Chi Minh: "Unity, unity, great unity. Success, success, great success".

The generation following the path chosen by President Ho Chi Minh, the leader of our Party - General Secretary To Lam and the Supreme General Staff have thoroughly grasped the viewpoint and are raising high the pioneering flag in the new revolution.

"New Year's Eve" to enter a new era filled with excitement and faith. With the goal of serving the people and the country, we firmly believe that the revolution will succeed; continuing the tradition of our ancestors to build our country rich and strong, the people's lives prosperous and happy.
