In the context of increasingly deep international integration, the province is proactively expanding and improving the effectiveness of international cooperation in many fields. This includes contacting and inviting large corporations to enhance its ability to attract investment, creating an important driving force for sustainable socio -economic development, and raising the province's position in the future.

Proactively integrate and expand cooperation.
Through business trips, investment promotion conferences, international seminars, and activities to welcome foreign delegations, the image of Vinh Long as a dynamic, friendly province with rich potential has been gradually promoted widely.
This is an important prerequisite for the province to expand cooperative relations with traditional partners, while also seeking and establishing relationships with new partners, especially in areas where the province has advantages such as industrial infrastructure, high-tech agriculture , agricultural product processing, logistics, education and training, and ecotourism…
The province has enormous development potential, with an area of nearly 6,300 km2, a population of over 3.3 million people, an economic size of approximately 11 billion USD in 2025, and an estimated growth rate of 5.84% in 2025.
According to the Provincial People's Committee, in 2025, many delegations were successfully organized and received, notably: the Danish Ambassador and representatives of Vestas Development; the Head of the JETRO Office in Ho Chi Minh City; and the IFAD mid-term evaluation team for the CSAT Project. These activities contributed to strengthening international cooperation and promoting the image of the province.
Furthermore, the Provincial People's Committee organized a working trip to promote investment and trade in South Korea. The trip achieved many important results in the fields of diplomacy, investment, education, and trade. It also contributed to promoting the image of the people and land of Vinh Long to the business community, government, and organizations in South Korea, opening up a new and broader phase of cooperation in the future.
Most recently, the province successfully organized the signing ceremony of a Memorandum of Cooperation between the Provincial People's Committee and the Ehime Provincial Government (Japan). Both sides agreed on the goal of building and strengthening economic cooperation in areas including: trade development, industry, investment, artificial intelligence, technology transfer, human resource training; and enhancing cultural exchange and connectivity between localities and businesses.
Enhance investment attraction
According to the Provincial People's Committee, in recent times, the province has implemented many activities to promote and attract investment, most notably organizing trade and investment promotion delegations to Japan, South Korea, and China; participating in nearly 20 seminars and conferences and working with 11 international and domestic delegations; and issuing a list of 153 projects calling for investment in the fields of industry, agriculture, education, culture-tourism, trade and services, renewable energy, etc.
In 2025, the province received and worked with 253 delegations of investors and businesses who came to explore investment opportunities in the province, including many foreign partners and large corporations such as: the government and businesses of Gwacheon City, South Korea; the government and businesses of Ehime Province, Japan; Sembcorp Group; FBH Group…

According to VSIP Can Tho General Director Leaw Wee Ming, Vinh Long has advantages over Can Tho due to its proximity to Ho Chi Minh City, its long coastline, and its potential for developing clean energy. Investors hope for vision and support from local leaders and authorities to help businesses feel secure in investing and developing.
Through investment promotion activities, the province has gradually attracted the attention of foreign businesses and investors in the fields of processing industry, high-tech agriculture, renewable energy, and services. Currently, the province has 213 active secondary investment projects, including 87 FDI projects. Many FDI enterprises are increasingly operating efficiently and continuously expanding their production scale in the area.
In 2026, the province will continue to proactively and actively participate in the foreign affairs programs of the Party and the State; strengthen socio-economic development cooperation activities between the province and international organizations, domestic and foreign localities according to signed programs and agreements, aiming to deepen, stabilize and sustain cooperative relations; enhance the promotion of the province's image, potential and strengths;... At the same time, effectively exploit strategic partnership and comprehensive partnership frameworks; implement and maximize opportunities from the international integration process, especially the new generation free trade agreements that have been signed, in order to expand markets, attract investment, transfer technology and enhance the competitiveness of the locality.
Mr. Kaneda Hiroki, General Director of Acecook Vietnam Joint Stock Company, stated that the company has total revenue exceeding $15.3 billion, employs over 6,400 people, has 8 production bases and 13 factories, including the Vinh Long branch factory.
In the first quarter of 2026, the company is expected to inaugurate and put into operation its new Vinh Long factory, covering an area of 113,000 square meters, with a total investment of 200 million JPY (phase 1), a production capacity of 1.5 billion product packages per year, and a maximum workforce of 3,000 employees. This demonstrates that Vietnam's investment environment in general, and the province in particular, is very favorable and attracts significant foreign investment.
At the signing ceremony with the Ehime Provincial Government (Japan), the Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Tran Tri Quang, stated that this is not only a continuation of the previous agreement but also opens a new phase of cooperation, in line with the scale, potential, and development orientation of the province.
The cooperative relationship between Vinh Long province and Ehime province will continue to be implemented in a more substantive, profound, and effective manner, especially in areas where both sides have strengths and complementary needs, such as human resource development, high-tech agriculture, processing and logistics, tourism, and cultural exchange.
For the period 2025-2030, with a vision to 2050, the province has identified rapid, sustainable development with a focus on green economy, circular economy, and renewable energy. Accordingly, the province will concentrate on developing green and renewable energy based on the potential of its more than 130km of coastline. It will attract selective investment, prioritizing projects that apply high technology, are environmentally friendly, especially renewable energy projects, eco-industrial parks, and integrated urban-industrial complexes, in line with the development orientation.
According to Mr. Ian Kim, General Director of ST International (South Korea), the company currently has an investment project in Vinh Long and is very confident in the support of the provincial leadership. Mr. Jinyoung Kim, Vice President of the Korean Energy Association in Vietnam, said that many Korean businesses are implementing rooftop solar energy projects in several localities in the Mekong Delta. Among them, Vinh Long is considered to have great potential and is convenient for the business community.
