Pursuant to Document No. 92/PCTT,TKCN&PTDS and Document No. 93/PCTT,TKCN&PTDS dated August 14, 2025 of the Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue and PTDS on proactively responding to strong winds and big waves at sea; The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism requests units to focus on informing and propagating about proactively responding to natural disasters in the coming days, specifically as follows:
Propagate, disseminate, and strictly implement the directions of the Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue and PTDS in Document No. 92/PCTT, TKCN&PTDS and Document No. 93/PCTT, TKCN&PTDS dated August 14, 2025 on proactively responding to strong winds and big waves at sea, in press publications, radio and television programs, and grassroots broadcasting systems so that people can grasp, proactively prevent and respond promptly in all situations, minimizing possible damage to people and property.
Increase the update of warning bulletins, forecasts and developments of strong winds and big waves at sea from the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, increase the duration and frequency of issuing warning bulletins and forecasts, promptly notify people to proactively prevent and respond to the possibility of a low pressure area appearing in the East Sea in the next 10 days from August 14 to 24, 2025 (which may develop into a tropical depression) and thunderstorms, tornadoes, strong gusts of wind at sea, widespread heavy rain with a high risk of tornadoes, lightning, flash floods, landslides, localized flooding, instruct people on skills to prevent, respond, and minimize damage, especially for people in dangerous areas, directly affected by natural disasters, areas at risk of flash floods and landslides.
Increase information on weather and natural disaster developments to authorities at all levels, owners of vehicles operating at sea and people to proactively prevent and respond.
