Local authorities and agencies are proactively building a startup ecosystem linked to science and technology through the establishment of associations and clubs to support businesses, connecting with international partner networks, opening up opportunities to enhance competitiveness and promote sustainable economic development.

Market expansion

The Ngũ Hành Sơn Ward Creative Entrepreneurship Association has just been established with 54 members, aiming to build a dynamic and sustainable ecosystem to support startups in the area.

Accordingly, the association implements many programs to spread the spirit of entrepreneurship, especially among young people; promote digital transformation; develop new business models; and create an effective connection environment between businesses and investors. Notably, the association identifies promoting the development of science and technology enterprises as one of its priorities, thereby supporting innovative ideas to be applied in practice, enhancing product value and competitiveness.

With the local advantage of having a well-established education system, active businesses, and a dynamic and creative youth force, the Ward's Creative Entrepreneurship Association is expected to effectively play its role in connecting and forming a synchronized network to support startups.

The leaders of the People's Committee of Ngu Hanh Son ward stated that they will continue to support the business community and individual entrepreneurs, encouraging them to think outside the box, take initiative, and overcome challenges proactively.

Furthermore, focusing on building the association's culture and brand; expanding networking opportunities; and actively inviting experts in management, marketing, digital transformation, science and technology , and legal fields to provide support are key solutions that create favorable conditions for startup ideas, especially in the science and technology sector, to develop and thrive.

In Hoa Cuong ward, the Women's Entrepreneurship Club has created a space for networking and sharing experiences among female business owners and household businesses in the area. In particular, it is gradually guiding members to develop according to the science and technology business model, encouraging the application of technological advancements in production and business to enhance product value.

Over the past period, live streaming activities have been regularly implemented, helping members to initially familiarize themselves with the digital business environment. Simultaneously, the club focuses on building a supportive community, promoting the spirit of "those who came before guiding those who come after"; working together to transform from traditional business models to flexible, modern models, closely linked to the application of science and technology.

During the period 2026-2030, the Hoa Cuong Ward Women's Union has identified the implementation of breakthrough and sustainable solutions. The focus is on popularizing online business skills, striving for 100% of women-owned businesses to be guided in selling goods on e-commerce platforms and implementing cashless payments.

Simultaneously, efforts to promote awareness of cybersecurity have been intensified, helping members proactively prevent risks and protect their business operations; gradually forming business models based on science and technology.

According to Ms. Dinh Thi Que, Chairwoman of the Women's Union of Hoa Cuong Ward, this May the union will coordinate with Dong Giang Commune to organize a program to exchange and learn from successful models and innovative approaches in gathering and attracting members.

The two localities will also discuss solutions for promoting and connecting the consumption of distinctive products of women's association members; organizing product exhibitions and introductions, contributing to expanding markets, enhancing the value of local products, and applying science and technology towards sustainable development.

Creating opportunities for collaboration

The Da Nang Innovation and Startup Support Center announced that, within the framework of the Da Nang Venture and Angel Investment Forum 2026 (DAVAS 2026) from May 25-27, a Pre-DAVAS program will be held to connect Vietnamese businesses with international partners seeking opportunities for cooperation and implementation in Vietnam.

Pre-DAVAS focuses on selective one-on-one sessions, facilitating in-depth discussions between businesses from both sides regarding potential collaborations, pilot implementations, and direct interaction with decision-makers.

Currently, international partners are particularly interested in seeking Vietnamese businesses in many potential fields such as artificial intelligence and data (AI, automation, computer vision), robotics and automation solutions in manufacturing and operations, businesses operating in the manufacturing, agriculture and environmental sectors with a focus on sustainable development (ESG), as well as distribution and retail units expanding their consumer markets.

In addition, the fields of healthcare, medical services, and rehabilitation equipment are also being emphasized, opening up many practical cooperation opportunities and contributing to promoting innovation and business development in the context of integration.

This demonstrates that Da Nang's startup ecosystem is gradually being formed and developed in a systematic manner, linked to digital transformation and science and technology. From the connecting and supporting role of associations and clubs to opportunities for international cooperation through programs, the business community, especially startups and science and technology businesses, have more opportunities to access resources, expand markets, and enhance competitiveness.

This will be an important foundation for promoting innovation and sustainable economic development, while also contributing to affirming Da Nang's position in its journey to becoming a dynamic destination for startups and technology.
