Recognizing the importance of cooperatives and cooperative groups, the Provincial Farmers' Association has actively directed its branches at all levels to develop and expand collective economic models, establish linkages, and support farmers in production along the value chain. This foundation is contributing to the realization of the goal of industrializing and modernizing agriculture and rural areas.

Let's join hands for mutual development.
In 2014, the Dong Hai Village Small-Scale Handicraft and Mechanical Cooperative (Dong Xa Commune, Van Don District) was established. This model, through collaboration and mutual support, has created a solid foundation for its members to leverage their strengths, leading to increasingly prosperous production and business, and contributing to local development. Mr. Luong Xuan Dau, Head of the Dong Hai Village Small-Scale Handicraft and Mechanical Cooperative, said: "When we undertake construction projects, we introduce each other to find more work. For example, our workshop does aluminum and glass work, and we also take on carpentry work for other carpentry workshops. In this way, all members support each other and develop together."
Working together for sustainable development is also the direction taken by the members of Toan Thang Cooperative (Tan Binh commune, Dam Ha district). Although only established in 2023, the cooperative members meet very regularly, aiming to exchange and share experiences in planting and caring for fruit trees, access capital sources and policies on developing economic models, finding markets for products, as well as applying science and technology to production.

Currently, the cooperative has 15 members, cultivating an area of approximately 6 hectares, mainly growing fruit trees such as oranges and apples. The average income per household reaches 60-80 million VND per year. Mr. Bui Tho Hoai, a member of the Toan Thang Cooperative, said: "We maintain a communication channel through a Zalo group, where members share information about weather, farming practices, and cultivation experiences. The goal is to build a community of high-quality fruit growers who develop sustainably together."
To date, the province has more than 650 cooperatives and cooperative groups in the agricultural sector. In recent years, these cooperatives and cooperative groups in the province have seen new developments in both quantity and quality; their operations have improved with various types of services, creating conditions for members and farmers to shift the structure of crops and livestock, improve productivity and product quality, and promote the development of production and business in rural areas.
To ensure the collective economy operates with confidence.
Recognizing the collective economy as a crucial component of the agricultural sector, the provincial Farmers' Association has focused on directing and implementing numerous activities to advise, guide, and support the establishment of collective economic models. This includes prioritizing the dissemination of information and raising awareness among members and farmers, fostering a shift from individual production to linkages, cooperation, and scale expansion. From 2020 to the present, the provincial Farmers' Association has directly advised and supported the establishment of 71 cooperatives and 70 production groups, primarily operating in the fields of agriculture, forestry, fisheries, trade, and services.

Mr. Do Ngoc Nam, Chairman of the Provincial Farmers' Association, stated: "In reality, the cooperative and production group models established with the advice, guidance, support, and operational direction of the Farmers' Association have proven to be effective. Members maintain close ties in production and business, sharing knowledge, experience, and capital, and creating jobs for many local workers."
In 2022, under the guidance and advice of the Mong Cai City Farmers' Association, the Hoang Nam Safe Food Production and Agricultural, Forestry and Fisheries Trade Service Cooperative was established. To date, the cooperative is one of the largest and most experienced producers and breeders of Mong Cai pigs in the city. The cooperative's activities are also contributing to enhancing the local Mong Cai pig brand. According to the cooperative's director, Bui Thi My Le, the cooperative currently maintains links with 36 farming households in the area, providing breeding stock, care techniques, and product distribution support. On average, the cooperative supplies over 1,000 piglets to these households annually.
Besides accompanying and guiding the establishment of cooperatives and cooperative groups, the provincial Farmers' Association also closely monitors the activities of collective economic entities to advise, disseminate, and implement mechanisms and policies related to loans, technical training, and connecting cooperatives and cooperative groups with markets for their products.

The Duc Hau Agricultural, Forestry, Fisheries, Trade, and General Service Production Cooperative (Quang Yen Town) has a stable market with a production capacity of approximately 1,000 fermented pork rolls (nem chua and nem nam) per day. Besides focusing on quality in the production process, the cooperative also prioritizes promoting its brand at local and provincial trade fairs. Ms. Vu Thi Huong, Director of the cooperative, said: "The Provincial and Town Farmers' Associations always pay attention to and create favorable conditions for the cooperative to participate in trade fair booths nationwide. Thanks to this, the cooperative's products are not only known to consumers in Quang Ninh, but also have outlets in other provinces and cities."
The Provincial Farmers' Association (HND) is aiming to provide advice and support for the establishment of at least 30 new agricultural cooperatives and 20 agricultural production groups by 2030, while improving the operational quality of existing cooperatives and production groups. To achieve this, the HND will direct its branches at all levels to encourage, mobilize, and guide outstanding farmers and business owners to serve as the core and driving force in establishing agricultural cooperatives and production groups. Simultaneously, it will implement comprehensive solutions to support and empower members of these cooperatives and production groups with capital, management skills, and scientific and technical knowledge.
