The Journal of Natural Resources and Environment was the predecessor of the Journal of Land Administration (former General Department of Land Administration). At first, the Journal had 7 people and published 1 issue/month. Currently, the Journal has 21 reporters, editors, and employees. From 2009 to present, the Journal has increased by 2 issues/month, published 24 issues/year, with 56 pages/issue and now has been publishing 26 issues/year, including 2 issues of science and technology topics/year and many other topics and supplements for units inside and outside the Ministry.
The propaganda information of the Journal always complies with the regulations of the press law, the objectives of the Industry, accordingly the Electronic Journal has introduced and published the results of scientific research; exchanged experiences, criticized policies in the rational use and protection of natural resources and environment, responded to climate change, water resources, mineral geology, etc., contributing to the sustainable development of the country.
The TN&MT electronic magazine has the following sections: News, Resources, Environment, Forum, Development, Science, Policy, World , Photos, Emagazine, video,... with a modern, professional, friendly interface, has updated and posted thousands of articles, promptly propagating issues and events of the Party, State, Government, ministries, branches and fields of the TN&MT sector. Speaking at the ceremony, on behalf of the Party Executive Committee and the leadership of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, Minister Dang Quoc Khanh acknowledged, commended and warmly congratulated the results achieved by the collective leadership, reporters and editors of the Journal over the past 20 years. The Ministry's leaders acknowledged that, throughout the 20-year journey of establishment and development, the Journal of Natural Resources and Environment has gradually overcome difficulties and challenges, quickly grasped the issues arising from the country's reality in the world's development trend to create a prestigious and quality theoretical and scientific forum, connecting managers, scientists and people, achieving many encouraging results.
In particular, the Journal has well performed its mission, objectives and assigned functions and tasks as a forum for scientific, theoretical, political and professional information, propagating the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws on the fields of natural resources and environment, serving the Ministry's state management work, contributing to the overall success of the natural resources and environment sector.

In the coming time, in the context of global and strong international integration, climate change has a great impact on countries around the world. At the same time, with the rapid and remarkable development of science, technology, modern communication, and the influence of cross-border social networking platforms, higher requirements and demands are placed on propaganda work in the field of natural resources and environment.
Minister Dang Quoc Khanh suggested that the Journal of Natural Resources and Environment should promote the results achieved over the past 20 years, continue to closely follow the policies and directions of the Party Committee, the Ministry's leaders, coordinate with the Ministry's units, especially specialized units and scientists, and innovate propaganda in many different forms.
Minister Dang Quoc Khanh suggested that the Journal should properly perform its functions, tasks, and purposes as a specialized Journal; Improve the quality of its reporters, editors, and collaborators in terms of politics, ideology, professional qualifications, skills, and professional ethics. Along with that, the Journal needs to strengthen solidarity and unity among all its reporters and editors; continue to fully and deeply grasp the viewpoint of being a press, media, and effective propaganda tool of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment.

Recently, the OCOP Special Page of Nhan Dan Newspaper was launched, this is also one of the products built from data journalism, the content is synthesized from the data warehouse, which synthesizes many OCOP products across the country. Developing data journalism is also an advantage that TN&MT Magazine can consider to have in-depth projects. TN&MT Magazine can take advantage of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment where there are many important and in-depth data that will be a very valuable source of information for users.
Talking about improving the quality of press works, comrade Le Quoc Minh affirmed: “Investing to create high-quality press products and new technologies requires the dynamism of magazine leaders as well as reporters and editors. Investing in technology and modern tools is a mandatory path for every press agency. Of course, each press agency can choose the appropriate technology for its own unit. From the perspective of the leadership of the Vietnam Journalists Association, we will always accompany press agencies in training on skills, topics, and even training for newspaper leaders to innovate modern journalism thinking”.
