Sharing the difficulties and losses with ethnic minorities and workers in Dien Bien province affected by natural disasters and flash floods, on the afternoon of August 11, the Vietnam Rubber Industry Group went to Dien Bien to present 300 million VND to support people to overcome the consequences.

Speaking at the donation ceremony, Comrade Ha Van Khuong, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Vietnam Rubber Industry Group, sent his condolences and regards from the Group's staff to the people. Comrade Ha Van Khuong hopes that the people in the disaster area will soon overcome difficulties and stabilize their lives.

On the same afternoon, the Group's working delegation and representatives of the Vietnam Rubber Industry Union presented 70 million VND to support workers and employees of Dien Bien Rubber Joint Stock Company.

On behalf of the leaders of Dien Bien province, comrade Mua A Vang, alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dien Bien province, expressed his gratitude to the leaders of the Vietnam Rubber Industry Group for always caring for and accompanying the people of all ethnic groups in Dien Bien province; especially during each natural disaster, storm and flood, the Group always stands side by side with the Party Committee and authorities of Dien Bien province to provide material support and spiritual encouragement to the people, workers and laborers.

Comrade Mua A Vang said: "During the flash flood in Muong Pon in 2024, the Vietnam Rubber Industry Group visited, gave gifts, and encouraged workers and people in the flooded area. The affection and material support of the Group's staff and workers made an important contribution to helping people in the disaster area in Dien Bien have more confidence and motivation to rise up."

As reported by Nhan Dan Newspaper, flash floods and landslides occurred in Dien Bien at the end of July, killing 10 people, injuring 12 others and damaging more than 900 houses of ethnic minorities. The communes of Na Son, Xa Dung, Tia Dinh, Muong Luan, Phinh Giang suffered heavy losses, with hundreds of houses collapsed and swept away by floods; many vital traffic routes were damaged beyond repair; the lives of thousands of people were disrupted by mounting difficulties.

Directly going to Dien Bien to inspect and direct the overcoming of natural disaster consequences, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh called on every citizen, organization and individual with a spirit of love and support to join hands to support and help people overcome the consequences, in the spirit of "having little, contribute little, having much, contribute much to share difficulties and losses with people".

Responding to the Prime Minister's call, over the past week, thousands of people have donated to the Dien Bien Province Fatherland Front's Mobilization Fund, with a total amount of nearly 18 billion VND received...
