FPT Corporation signed a digital transformation cooperation agreement with Ba Ria-Vung Tau province

On the afternoon of November 4 , at the Provincial Party Committee headquarters, the People's Committee of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province and FPT Corporation (FPT) signed a cooperation agreement on digital transformation until 2025, with a vision to 2030.

Attending the signing ceremony, on behalf of Ba Ria-Vung Tau province, there were delegates: Mr. Pham Viet Thanh, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Mr. Nguyen Van Tho, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and leaders of departments, branches and sectors.

On the FPT Group side, there were Mr. Truong Gia Binh, Chairman of the Board of Directors of FPT Group; Mr. Nguyen Van Khoa, General Director of FPT Group and leaders representing units under FPT Group.

Speaking at the meeting, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Pham Viet Thanh suggested that in the coming time, FPT support Ba Ria-Vung Tau in building a synchronous and effective digital transformation strategy, in line with the general development roadmap of the province and the whole country. Along with that, it will contribute to improving the efficiency of public service activities of the provincial government, providing the best support for the people.

FPT Chairman Truong Gia Binh commented: "Digital transformation is entering a new phase, which can be considered a "revolution" when for the first time, a scientific sector becomes a productive force. Digital transformation will help change the way we work. Along with that, the goal is that all people can "communicate" with the government via their phones. And together we will create the first applications for the people of Ba Ria-Vung Tau".

During the working session, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Dang Minh Thong shared that in recent times, Ba Ria-Vung Tau province has considered digital transformation an important task and has achieved certain results. However, there are still difficulties and confusion. The province's aspiration is to develop strongly and comprehensively in digital transformation. In particular, focusing on 4 pillars according to the direction of the Prime Minister that the province will overcome are: information technology industry, digitalization of economic sectors, digital governance and digital data.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Dang Minh Thong informed about the achievements, difficulties in digital transformation and the potential for cooperation between the province and FPT Group.

"With that goal, after signing the cooperation agreement with FPT Group, the province will direct relevant departments and branches to cooperate closely with enterprises to implement specific strategies and contents of 10 fields and sectors to promote digital transformation in the province. The province also wishes to cooperate more closely with FPT Group in the field of education and training," Mr. Dang Minh Thong added.

According to the agreement, FPT will cooperate with Ba Ria-Vung Tau in accompanying, supporting, consulting on development orientation, overall strategic solutions on digital transformation; developing plans to overcome shortcomings and limitations and proposing solutions to complete targets and tasks in digital transformation.

At the same time, FPT will transfer digital transformation knowledge and technological equipment to the Community Digital Technology Group with a focus on bringing digital transformation applications into practice, to each enterprise, business household, and person in the province.

In addition, FPT Group also supports training, dissemination of knowledge, development of high-quality human resources in digital transformation and information security for officials, civil servants and public employees in the province; Creates conditions for information technology students at educational and training institutions, colleges and universities in the province to have the opportunity to intern, practice and recruit at member units of FPT Group.

Also in the afternoon of the same day, at the Provincial Conference Center, the People's Committee of Ba Ria-Vung Tau province coordinated with FPT Group to organize a conference to share the impact of digital transformation on socio-economic development with key officials, leaders of departments, branches, agencies, units, localities and leaders of enterprises in the province.

With the topic of "Digital economy - challenges and opportunities", Mr. Truong Gia Binh, Chairman of FPT Board of Directors shared about trends, orientations of digital transformation and approaches, organization, experience, and results of digital transformation implementation with provinces and cities across the country.

Mr. Truong Gia Binh's sharing contributed to helping Ba Ria-Vung Tau province and each agency and enterprise in the province see more clearly the efforts that need to be continued in the coming time to overcome challenges and seize opportunities, implementing the three pillars of Digital Government, Digital Economy, Digital Society on schedule, on demand, more substantially and effectively.

The provincial leaders hope and believe that, based on the cooperation agreement between the Provincial People's Committee and FPT Corporation on digital transformation that was recently signed, the two sides will continue to have practical and effective coordination to effectively implement the goal of strongly promoting digital transformation in the province's sectors and fields in the coming time.
