On May 10, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism coordinated with the Department of Education and Training to organize a swimming training course to prevent drowning accidents in children in Son La province in 2025.

Swimming training to prevent drowning accidents in children in Son La province in 2025.

At the training course, 350 students from schools in the city were equipped with theory and practice of skills, techniques and swimming styles in drowning rescue such as: Practical swimming skills, artificial respiration methods, approaches and positions to support victims, methods of escape in water when being hugged by victims; instructions on escape skills when drowning and instructions on initial first aid methods...

Instruct students how to use life buoys for victims.

This is a practical and meaningful activity to provide useful knowledge about preventive measures and appropriate treatment for injuries, especially drowning prevention. Thereby, practicing first aid skills, minimizing accident risks when incidents occur.

Instruct students how to swim and move in water.
