Training on developing black sow breeding according to the chain link

On June 4, in Thuong Xuan town (Thuong Xuan), Thanh Hoa Province Cooperative Union in coordination with Thuong Xuan District People's Committee organized a training course on technical processes for raising black sows for reproduction according to the chain.

Overview of the training session.

The training course is part of the Project "Raising black sows for reproduction according to the chain linkage in Thuong Xuan town and Ngoc Phung commune, Thuong Xuan district, Thanh Hoa province" from the capital of Project 2 on diversifying livelihoods and developing poverty reduction models, under the National Target Program on Sustainable Poverty Reduction in 2023. Cua Dat Aquaculture and Service Cooperative is the project linkage host unit.

At the training session, technical staff of the Thuong Xuan District Agricultural Service Center introduced superior pig breeds and instructed trainees on breeding techniques, identification, prevention and treatment of some diseases in black breeding pigs, as well as how to ferment food, renew and repair barns to ensure breeding standards.

Along with that, students are also guided in practice, directly mixing different types of food and dividing food rations for breeding sows at different stages.

Within the framework of the training program, 77 households, including 21 poor households and 56 near-poor households participating in the project were introduced by lecturers from Hong Duc University, updated with knowledge on value chain linkage, brand building and trade promotion, management, contract negotiation and signing... for the project to develop sustainably.

At the end of the training course, 100% of students grasped the techniques of breeding black pigs for reproduction to apply to actual family farming.
