Training on human rights work in 2023

On November 30, 2023, the Department of Information and Communications organized a training course on human rights work in 2023 for information and propaganda staff in the province.
Comrade Nguyen Hoan, Deputy Director of the Department of Information and Communications, spoke at the training class.

Speaking at the opening of the training course, comrade Nguyen Hoan, Deputy Director of the Department of Information and Communications, said: “Currently, human rights have become an issue that attracts widespread attention from the world public opinion, an equally important factor in the agenda and documents of international conferences, international and regional organizations as well as bilateral and multilateral agreements. In Vietnam, in recent times, the achievements in human rights work have made an important contribution to promoting the cause of national innovation and development, and have been recognized by the world. However, information and propaganda work on human rights has not been properly implemented at times and in some places, and is not commensurate with the results achieved; the fight against and refutation of distorted arguments about democracy and human rights needs to be more combative, theoretical, sharp and timely”. He requested the team working on information and propaganda to strengthen propaganda work more effectively on human rights work in our country. Thereby, promoting, enhancing the image, prestige and position of Vietnam in the international arena, creating consensus in society, further gaining the sympathy and support of the international community and overseas Vietnamese for the cause of national construction and protection in the new situation; closely linking with the implementation of propaganda tasks on politics , economics, society, national defense; between foreign information and domestic information.

At the training session, the information and propaganda team in the area was presented by reporters from the Department of Information and Communications and the Religious Affairs Committee of Quang Tri province on human rights; the Party's viewpoints and guidelines, the State's policies and laws on human rights; the Convention and international laws on human rights; the situation, efforts and achievements in ensuring human rights in various fields, positive assessments and comments from public opinion and international media on the results of Vietnam's work in ensuring and developing human rights; the viewpoints and policies on religion of the Party and State of Vietnam...
