Participating in welcoming the Indian naval ship Ins Darshak and its crew were representatives of the Vietnam Navy Command in the South, the Navy Region 2 Command, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Foreign Affairs, the Department of Foreign Affairs - Ministry of National Defense and representatives of relevant authorities in Ho Chi Minh City.
Speaking at a press conference on board the ship, Colonel Praveen Thomas, Commander of the Indian naval ship Ins Darshak, said that the visit marks an important milestone in the bilateral cooperation between India and Vietnam; contributing to further strengthening the Vietnam - India relationship in the Indo- Pacific region, towards ensuring maritime security and safety, sustainable management of marine resources, and strategic integration in the region, Colonel Praveen Thomas shared.
Representatives of the Vietnam Navy Command in the South, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of External Affairs, and the Department of Foreign Affairs - Ministry of National Defense welcomed Colonel Praveen Thomas, Commander of the Indian naval ship Ins Darshak and his crew on their visit to Ho Chi Minh City.
According to the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Foreign Affairs, during the visit, officers and sailors will lay flowers in memory of President Ho Chi Minh at the Uncle Ho Monument Park (Nguyen Hue Walking Street); pay courtesy visits to leaders of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, Military Region 7, and the Naval Region 2 Command.
The officers and sailors of the ship will visit some famous places and landscapes in Ho Chi Minh City, participate in sports exchanges with the Vietnam Navy, and welcome delegations to visit the Indian naval ship Ins Darshak.
The Ins Darshak is equipped with modern advanced systems including survey and digital data processing systems; positioning systems and modern sounding and water density measuring equipment along with tidal and meteorological sensors.
