Tay Ninh: Maintain 67 communes meeting new rural standards in 2025

According to the plan to implement the National Target Program on New Rural Development, in 2025, the province aims to maintain 67/82 communes meeting new rural standards, including 5 communes meeting advanced new rural standards. Communes that have met the standards in the 2010-2025 period will continue to improve the quality of the criteria, as a basis for implementing new rural development according to the set of criteria for the 2026-2030 period.

In addition, by 2025, Tay Ninh strives to have an average income per capita in rural areas of over 66.5 million VND/person/year; reduce the multidimensional poverty rate to below 0.32%; have the rate of people participating in health insurance reach over 90%; and have over 45% of rural households using clean water that meets standards.

To complete the goal, the province requires all levels and sectors to focus on reviewing and adjusting the plan for building new rural areas after merging administrative units; perfecting the Steering Committees at all levels in accordance with the two-level government model; continuing to improve socio -economic infrastructure, especially transportation, schools, cultural facilities, electricity, water and housing according to new rural standards.

A rural road has been invested in and expanded, creating favorable conditions for people to travel conveniently.

At the same time, the province focuses on developing concentrated commodity production associated with processing industry and value chain linkage; enhancing the application of high technology, environmentally friendly; promoting eco-tourism, OCOP tourism; improving the quality of education , health, culture - sports; effectively implementing programs on environmental protection, food safety and rural clean water supply; applying information technology in public administrative services, contributing to improving the material and spiritual life of rural people./.
