The Honda e:N1 electric vehicle, with its unique appearance and modern design, will be officially assembled at the Honda plant in Prachinburi, Thailand. The production line will follow Honda's global technology, with a commitment to quality and performance.
The project to assemble electric cars in Thailand is not only a strategic move by Honda to capture the electric car market in Southeast Asia, but also a commitment to the Thai market. The Japanese automaker wants to ensure that it does not fall behind in the electric car race, especially when this market is diversified by competitors from China, the US, and Germany.
Local assembly of the Honda e:N1 not only benefits Honda but also contributes to the development of the automotive industry in Thailand. The use of localized parts from Thailand not only reduces production costs but also enhances the supply of the domestic automotive industry.
The Honda e:N1 will be powered by a single motor system with a capacity of up to 150kW, equivalent to 204 horsepower and 310Nm of torque. Electric power will be provided by a 68.8 kWh battery, providing an operating range of up to 412 km according to WLTP standards.
Overall, the decision to assemble electric cars in Thailand is part of Honda’s electrification strategy in the Southeast Asian market. This is also consistent with Honda’s strategy for electric cars in Vietnam, as seen in the introduction of the CR-V model and the hybrid version e:HEV RS.
Honda, one of the world's leading automakers, once again demonstrates its commitment to innovation and environmental protection by expanding its electric vehicle presence to an important market like Thailand.
