Thai Nguyen: Make environmental sanitation a regular practice

On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution, National Day September 2 and welcoming the Party Congress at the commune level, many localities in Thai Nguyen province organized environmental sanitation and garbage collection, so the neighborhoods, village roads and alleys became more spacious and clean.

Phu Luong Commune mobilized thousands of people to hang the national flag, the Party flag, clean the environment, collect and treat waste on the streets, alleys, and residential areas to be clean, neat, and civilized, making the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution, National Day September 2 and the Commune Party Congress even more exciting, bustling, and proud of the revolutionary tradition. At the same time, they are confident and expectant in the new development stage of the country and locality.

Working with and encouraging people to clean the environment, Secretary of Phu Luong Commune Party Committee Doan Quang Duy requested organizations, residential groups, and hamlets to maintain environmental sanitation, collect waste, and beautify the landscape regularly and consistently, putting these activities into order.

In Kha Son commune, people in most hamlets not only enthusiastically hang flags, decorate the village, collect garbage to make the environment clean, but also take care of and trim the flower paths to make them neat and colorful, creating a joyful and exciting atmosphere, making the village a livable place, welcoming children studying, working, and doing business far away to return for the holidays, feeling the warmth and closeness of their homeland.

There are few occasions when love for one's homeland and country is expressed as highly as on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2nd, expressing pride, uniting the community, making the place where one lives, studies, and works cleaner and more beautiful, and the living environment better.

Thai Nguyen province advocates economic development in harmony with the environment, not sacrificing the environment for pure economic growth, not attracting investment at all costs, prioritizing projects using modern technology, using less energy, being environmentally friendly, focusing on green and sustainable growth; at the same time maintaining and further improving the rate of waste collection and treatment to make the living environment of the people better and better.

Many agencies, units from the province to the commune, and grassroots organizations spend the late afternoon of the last working day of the week to collect waste and clean the environment. However, this has not been maintained regularly, continuously, and persistently, and is sometimes just a formality.

In order for environmental collection and sanitation activities to be carried out regularly, systematically, long-term, cleanly and civilly as on this important holiday, in the coming time, all levels and sectors in the province need to strengthen propaganda and mobilization to raise people's awareness of waste collection and treatment, and environmental sanitation; consider this a regular, daily task, a culture of each person. The authorities must manage waste sources well and strictly handle production and livestock facilities that cause environmental pollution.
