Banks guide to linking social security accounts on VNeID

Many commercial banks launch gift programs for VNeID linked accounts.

Accordingly, with just a few steps on the VNeiD application, people can register to receive social security money quickly, safely and officially through an account opened at a bank.

Specifically, if people already have a bank account: The first step is to access the VNeID application, go to "Social Security", select "Social Security Account"; enter the passcode, select Bank, enter the bank account number.

By following the above steps, people have completed and can wait for approval to receive money directly into their bank account.

In case people do not have a bank account, they can register to open an account by downloading the banking application. Then return to the above steps to complete the registration procedure.

The connection of social security accounts on the VNeID application has been deployed by many banks through coordination with Napas and the Ministry of Public Security . This is to help customers receive social security benefits, pay for public services (pension money, subsidies for the poor, meritorious people...) through linked payment accounts.

Previously, the Ministry of Public Security was assigned to preside over and coordinate with commercial banks to deploy solutions for people to create social security accounts, striving to ensure that 100% of Vietnamese people have social security accounts by 2025. Review people's accounts on VNeID; bank accounts are linked to the VNeID application to clean up for social security payments, ensuring transparency and avoiding fraud.

Many people link their VNeID Social Security account with their bank account.

In particular, in order to accompany the Government in spreading joy on the occasion of National Day September 2, many commercial banks have also launched gift giving programs for VNeID linked accounts. For example, with Techcombank , for each new account opened and linked to VNeID from September 1 to September 25, 2025, customers will receive an additional 100,000 VND (money will be added to the account within 3 working days from the end of the program).

Nguyen Anh Tuan, Director of Techcombank Retail Banking, shared: The bank has quickly deployed the feature of linking with VNeID to support customers to access social security services and utilities quickly and easily, especially during this year's National Day holiday. This is how Techcombank fulfills its commitment to providing an outstanding digital banking experience, fully accompanying customers on every journey and joining hands with the Government to promote national digital transformation, so that all Vietnamese people can benefit from a modern and safe financial system.

MSB Bank also accompanies and thanks customers with a special promotion - an additional 80,000 VND to MSB accounts. Accordingly, MSB cooperates with the Ministry of Public Security to deploy the service of linking accounts to receive social security payments according to the policies of the Party and the State. People who link their VNeID Social Security account with their MSB payment account will immediately receive 100,000 VND from the Government to celebrate Independence Day and an additional 80,000 VND from MSB.

For customers who do not have an MSB account, with just 5 minutes of opening an online account, people can easily link their MSB account with the VNeID application to receive Social Security policies and special offers from MSB.

For customers with existing MSB accounts, the Bank will give away 80,000 M-Points (equivalent to 80,000 VND) when successfully linking accounts, freely exchanging concert tickets and promotions from 1000+ favorite brands (food, shopping...).

Previously, many banks also announced the implementation of a program to give money and gifts to customers who link their Social Security accounts on VNEID with payment accounts such as TPBank, HD Bank, VietinBank and BIDV...
