Currently, candidates have completed the registration for recognition of meeting the standards for the title of professor and associate professor in 2025 at highereducation institutions.

Ensure scientific integrity for each candidate profile

The State Council of Professors has just sent an official dispatch to the professional, interdisciplinary, and institutional professor councils, along with universities, academies, and scientific research institutes regarding the recognition of meeting the standards for the titles of professor and associate professor in 2025.

The State Council of Professors requires units to strictly implement the provisions of Decision 37/2018/QD-TTg and Decision 25/2020/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister and other relevant regulations, ensuring the goal of improving quality, objectivity, publicity and transparency in the process of considering and recognizing titles.

Units need to pay special attention to evaluating candidate profiles for quality and substance in terms of expertise and academics.

Carefully evaluate the quality of scientific works and published journals, ensuring scientific integrity for each profile.

At the same time, relevant units and individuals need to strictly implement regulations on authority, obligations and responsibilities, creating conditions for professorial councils at all levels to operate effectively and on schedule according to plan.

In 2025, the State Council of Professors will continue to use the forms in Appendix II of Decision 37/2018/QD-TTg.

Consideration of recognition of meeting the standards for the title of professor and associate professor from July 1

According to the schedule for considering and recognizing the qualifications for the titles of professor and associate professor in 2025, the deadline for candidates to submit their application for recognition of the qualifications for the titles of associate professor and professor in 2025 to the basic professor council and send the application for consideration of the qualifications for the title to the State Professor Council's electronic information page is June 30.

From July 1 to July 22, the basic professor councils will review the records of recognition of meeting the standards for the title of associate professor and professor in 2025.

From August 29 to September 26, the industry and interdisciplinary professor councils will consider and recognize the qualifications for the title of professor and associate professor in 2025.

From October 20 to October 31, the State Council of Professors met to consider recognition of meeting the standards for the titles of professor and associate professor in 2025.
