The survey and excavation was chaired by Dr. Nguyen Quoc Manh, Deputy Director of the Center for Archaeology, Southern Institute of Social Sciences .
The Plei Ring archaeological site was discovered and announced for the first time by staff of the Gia Lai Provincial Museum at the 2019 national archaeological announcement conference. In 2024, the site was examined and included in the joint exploration and excavation plan between the Gia Lai Provincial Museum and the Archaeological Center.
This exploration, excavation and research will contribute to clarifying the type, nature, age and owner of the relic. Gia Lai province hopes that having an additional archaeological relic next to the historical relic of Plei Ring Victory Site in 1954 (which has been ranked at the provincial level) will create favorable conditions for promoting the value of the relic and boosting local tourism development.
