Barca are top of La Liga (Spain's national championship). When we arrived last Saturday evening, Barca had just finished a 3-0 home win at Camp Nou.

Barca shirts are everywhere in the city, something tourists rarely see in Paris (France) or Munich (Germany), which are also home to top European football clubs.

Barca's home stadium has just been renamed Spotify Camp Nou in a sponsorship deal worth up to 300 million euros. The stadium is about to undergo renovations and upgrades and this could be the last time visitors visit the stadium.

Barcelona attracts European tourists with its warm Mediterranean sunshine, its architectural heritage and the world's most successful football club, Barcelona.

The club's home stadium is Camp Nou (New Stadium), which has a seating capacity of nearly 100,000, making it the fourth largest stadium in the world and the largest in Europe.

To get to Camp Nou, visitors just need to take the bus or metro, about 20 minutes from the city center to reach the stadium gate. The stadium grounds have a statue of him and another former player, Ladislau Kubala Stecz

Camp Nou tickets are divided into different packages, but with just a basic ticket of 28 euros, you can spend the whole morning exploring the "cathedral" of the 5-time European champion (Champion League) club.

Barca's huge collection of achievements overwhelms visitors, from domestic to European and international tournaments. Barca's fan base is also among the largest in the world and the club's achievements have been contributed by famous names such as Johan Cruyff, Maradona, Messi...

Messi remains one of the best players in the world. He left Barca last year for Paris Saint Germain after 20 years with the club.

Barca is the most successful football club in Spain, with 5 Champions League titles. The club's museum has a special area to display the five European Championship trophies and many images related to those championships.

Next to it is Messi's collection of 7 FIFA Golden Balls, including consecutive years from 2009 - 2015, 2019 and 2021.

Another famous Argentinian who was at Barca was Diego Maradona, one of the most famous and expensive players Barca ever had, transferred in the summer of 1982. At the time, Maradona was considered the best player. However, Maradona's two-year stay at Barca was not very successful as the player was plagued by injuries.

Camp Nou went through a golden period with Johan Cruyff. He won many championships with Barca, including the European Championship.

“I know the club and I don’t want its history to repeat itself. If we want to change something, we have to change history,” said Cruyff. In fact, he changed the club’s history when he became coach with modern football theories.

Players' relaxation area

In addition to the stadium being closed to the public on match days, visitors are also unable to watch the team train. Since 2008, Barca have been training at La Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamber, about 9km from Camp Nou.

Area reserved for team leaders and coaches

Visitors to the stadium can hardly escape the temptations of the club’s souvenir and kit shop, a large store that visitors must pass through when entering and leaving.

Inside the stadium, visitors are also offered to buy grass from Camp Nou, designed in many different models. Prices start at around 8 euros. In addition, visitors can take a photo with their favorite player or lift a model of the team's European Championship trophy. All of which cost money.

However, if you don't have time to go to the stadium, visitors can buy Barca clothes and souvenirs at the official stores in the city center. In the photo is a large Barca store located in the central square.
