On the occasion of the 78th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2025), the Women's Union of Quang Phu Ward visited, presented gifts, and encouraged 7 families with preferential policies, including: Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, wives of martyrs, wives of disabled soldiers... Although the Party, State, Party committees, authorities at all levels, business community, and philanthropists always pay attention and provide timely support, the Women's Union of the Ward still maintains annual gratitude activities, contributing to easing the pain of loss of families with preferential policies, people with meritorious services to the revolution, including relatives of union members and women.
Mrs. Nguyen Thi Chot on Street 1, the wife of a martyr, shared: "Our family appreciates the attention of Party committees at all levels, authorities at all levels and local women's organizations. Receiving gifts, support, encouragement and timely care helps my family ease the pain, overcome difficulties and move forward in life."
Visiting Mr. Nguyen Van Dung (a victim of chemical poisoning) whose father is a veteran in Dong Mon village, Tay Do commune, the Women's Union of the commune encouraged and gave gifts. This is the heart and concern of the organization for families with meritorious services and people with meritorious services. Ms. Vu Bich Hue, President of the Women's Union of Tay Do commune shared: In addition to visiting and giving gifts to families with meritorious services and people with meritorious services to the revolution, every year, we regularly coordinate to review and grasp the situation of the families to promptly propose and proactively organize activities to visit, give gifts, and help the families in all aspects, such as helping with working days, supporting loans for production, connecting jobs...".
With the traditional morality of “When drinking water, remember its source”, every year, the Women’s Union at all levels in the province focuses on organizing and implementing many activities to show gratitude to families with meritorious services to the revolution. This is a noble gesture, demonstrating the responsibility of the organization, while building the image of Thanh Hoa women in the new period of comprehensive development in terms of personality, intelligence, physical strength, soul and social responsibility, civic duty, love for the homeland and country.
On the occasion of the anniversary of July 27, 2025, women's unions at all levels in the province continued to organize practical gratitude activities. Typically, the Women's Union of Cam Thach commune supported a number of policy families to clean their gardens and weed rice; the Women's Union of Ba Thuoc commune coordinated with political organizations to help with working days to pour concrete to build roads leading to their houses and give gifts to policy families; the Women's Unions of the communes: Quang Ninh, Nong Truong, Dinh Hoa... participated in collecting DNA samples for relatives of martyrs whose identities have not been determined...
According to statistics from the Provincial Women's Union, every year on the occasion of the anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day, 100% of the union bases organize activities to give gifts and show gratitude to families with meritorious services to the revolution; visit and present gifts to families with meritorious services who are union officials. In 2024, the union at all levels visited and presented gifts to families with meritorious services and Vietnamese Heroic Mothers worth nearly 800 million VND; coordinated visits and presented gifts to armed forces and new recruits leaving for military service worth 1.7 billion VND. In 2025, the association at all levels presented nearly 700 gifts worth more than 400 million VND to families with meritorious services and policy beneficiaries... In addition, the association's bases also launched a campaign to clean up the environment at memorials for heroic martyrs, take care of martyrs' graves at cemeteries, contribute funds to build gratitude houses, support families with policy beneficiaries to develop the economy , and coordinate to organize medical examinations and provide medicine to families with policy beneficiaries.
In addition, the association also focuses on propagating and educating revolutionary traditions and patriotism through many forms, helping women understand correctly, be proud of, respect and preserve them, thereby constantly cultivating and training moral qualities, actively studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style.
Comrade Bui Thi Mai Hoan, Vice President of the Provincial Women's Union, Head of the Provincial Women's Affairs Committee, said: "Repaying gratitude" is one of the important activities of the union. The Provincial Women's Union has directed all levels of the union to organize and implement many practical gratitude activities. Thereby, helping union members and women to be aware of their responsibilities, comply with the Party's guidelines, policies and laws of the State and spread the image of Vietnamese women in the new era.
