The memorial complex , covering an area of ​​16,410.5 , began construction on September 6, 2010, and was inaugurated on November 23, 2012, in an open-plan style. The houses throughout the memorial complex feature simple four-roofed tiled roofs, reflecting the traditional yet dignified architecture of Southern Vietnamese garden houses.

The Vo Van Kiet Memorial Area was recognized as a National Monument by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in 2022.

According to tour guide Tran Thi Thuy Huyen, the highlight of the site is the Memorial House of the late Prime Minister Vo Van Kiet (covering an area of ​​536.1 ), which attracts tens of thousands of visitors each year who come to pay their respects and offer incense.

In "Mr. Six Dân's Garden," there are many stone tablets recording the immortal sayings of Prime Minister Võ Văn Kiệt. Particularly noteworthy is the display of numerous documents, artifacts, and images documenting his revolutionary activities. The legacy of this people-centered leader is etched in history through monumental projects: the 500 KV North-South power transmission line, the flood control project to the Western Sea, the freshwater conversion of the Mekong Delta, the Ho Chi Minh Trail, the Dung Quất oil refinery... Most impressive is the portrait with a radiant smile, set against a backdrop of 15,000 photographs depicting the life and revolutionary career of Prime Minister Võ Văn Kiệt.
