Dear national flag

Việt NamViệt Nam28/08/2024

(BLC) - National Day September 2nd is approaching. Everywhere from the central region to remote villages and borders, every house and every person is flying flags to celebrate the sacred holiday of the nation.

The image of red flags with yellow stars appearing all over the streets has made the national pride and self-respect of every Vietnamese person even deeper. In the remote Lai Chau region, these days, the streets to the highland villages are filled with the red color of the national flag, the ethnic people in the province look forward to the Independence Day September 2 with excitement, enthusiasm, and pride in being Vietnamese.

The national flag of Vietnam is red with a five-pointed yellow star. The red color on the Vietnamese national flag symbolizes revolution and victory, the five-pointed yellow star symbolizes the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam , the five corners of the star symbolize the five classes participating in the revolution including: scholars, workers, farmers, merchants, and soldiers united in the resistance. The red flag with a yellow star symbolizes the soul of the country, the heart of the people, the eternal solidarity of the great Vietnamese nation and it is the most sacred symbol, expressing the revolutionary enthusiasm of the entire Vietnamese nation.

Border guards of Thu Lum commune, Muong Te district and people hang the national flag on the occasion of National Day, September 2.

Since early July 2024, a young man in Vinh Phuc province has been painting the flag on the roof of his house with the idea of painting the flag. Since then, the trend of painting flags on roofs has spread to many provinces and cities across the country. From above, the red national flag covers every family and village, making patriotism even more intense and warm.

People all over the country and in the province are responding to the trend of "Turning every roof into a national flag". On social networking platforms, people are responding to this trend very enthusiastically as a small meaningful action to celebrate the nation's National Day. Now, the image of the national flag not only appears in people's squares, border markers or in state agencies but also in people's homes. It is no longer strange and distant, but has become more familiar, closer and more intimate than ever. Ms. Nguyen Thi Dung (residential group 7, Doan Ket ward, Lai Chau city) said: Hanging the national flag in front of my house makes me proud of my homeland and country and reminds myself to live and work well to contribute more to society.

The streets of Tan Uyen district flutter with the beloved red flag.

In all parts of the province, from urban to rural areas, from the central region to the border, these days rows of red flags with yellow stars flutter in the gentle autumn wind. Wherever you go, you are overwhelmed by the bright red color, as if urging patriotism and national pride. More specifically, some families have chosen the flat surfaces of their house walls and rolling doors to paint the image of the national flag. The family of Mr. Duong Minh Hung (Than Uyen district) is an example. Born, raised and matured right in his hometown, Mr. Hung has witnessed most clearly the changes in his "birthplace". On his personal page (facebook), he wrote: As a child born, raised and matured in Than Uyen land, every time I mention September 2, I still have the same feeling of excitement and eagerness about the national Independence Day taking place in my homeland". In his distant childhood memories, Independence Day was every time he went to the district market with his father, mother and grandmother, witnessed many people with colorful costumes of ethnic groups from everywhere coming, and was able to blend in with that crowd; was able to buy a bag of candy, eat a bowl of pho, watch folk games such as crossbow shooting, beating the tu lu, pounding rice cakes, tug of war... Everyone was eager and happy to participate in those games...

Mr. Duong Minh Hung shows his love for his country in his own way.

Therefore, under Mr. Hung's idea, a red heart enclosing the image of Vietnam's map with the two archipelagos of Truong Sa and Hoang Sa nestled in a prominent five-pointed yellow star was painted by a painter under the family's rolling door wall. Mr. Hung hopes to spread beautiful images, create a check-in space for people as well as ignite love for the country in everyone.

Now, the Independence Day is like a "specialty" of Than Uyen district, making everyone eager to visit on this occasion. They come just to play, to immerse themselves in the atmosphere of the National Festival and to experience and visit the activities within the framework of the event that the district Party Committee and government have invested a lot of time to prepare and organize to serve visitors from near and far. This year, the Independence Day of Than Uyen district is organized on a provincial scale, with many exciting activities that are well-received by the people such as: "Than Uyen - Convergence of Northwest Identity" Media Festival; KOMOMO Than Uyen International Running Race; Off-road Motorcycle Race in Hua Na Commune and Kayak Race in Pa Khom Bay, Pha Mu Commune; Traditional Ethnic Cuisine Competition; Swallow-tailed Boat Race at Than Uyen Lake; Rice Cake Making and Pounding Competition... Especially, for the first time, the Flag Raising Ceremony took place at Than Uyen District Stadium in the solemn and sacred atmosphere of the National Day.

"Every roof is a national flag" is a beautiful image, but the painter needs to pay attention. The national flag needs to be chosen in solemn places, according to standards, stable in color, shape and absolutely not mixed with other objects...
