Thang Binh promotes industrial promotion support resources

Ms. Ngo Thi Loc, owner of Nhieu Loc rice paper factory (Binh Tu commune, Thang Binh) said that her family has been making rice paper since 1999. To meet market demand, from one initial rice paper factory, the factory has expanded to 8 factories, with 15 workers.

With prestige and quality, Nhieu Loc rice paper has gradually built its brand, serving the needs of customers in many places in Thang Binh district. However, making rice paper by hand is difficult.

At the end of 2023, Ms. Ngo Thi Loc boldly built the project "Supporting the application of machinery and equipment to improve the production capacity of Nhieu Loc rice paper" and by mid-2024, she was supported by the Economic and Infrastructure Department of Thang Binh district with 110 million VND.

From this capital, Ms. Loc invested more than 110 million VND to equip a rice paper coating machine system and accessories that can produce 670-700 cakes/hour and a rice paper baking machine system with a baking capacity of 500-550 cakes/hour. With the equipped machinery, this facility coats 150kg of rice flour every day, supplying the market with about 2,400 rice papers.

Ms. Ngo Thi Loc said that thanks to the capital invested in machinery, the cake making process is more convenient, the rice paper is baked evenly, ensuring food hygiene and safety requirements. Using machines for production helps save a lot of costs, and profits are also higher.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu - Deputy Head of the Economic and Infrastructure Department of Thang Binh district said that the unit always creates favorable conditions for production facilities in the area to promote the application of technological equipment in production, improve product quality, and contribute to stabilizing jobs for local workers.

From 2021 to present, Thang Binh has 7 small-scale handicraft production establishments receiving industrial promotion funding, with a total budget of 740 million VND. Thereby, helping these establishments expand production, increase productivity, product quality and create jobs for rural workers.

“After receiving support, production facilities not only improve product quality and designs to attract customers... but also create jobs and stable income for many local workers,” said Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu.
