Thanh Hoa: Hot weather will last for the next 3 days, with unexpected thunderstorms in the evening

(Baothanhhoa.vn) - According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, today, many areas across the country will continue to be hot and sunny during the day, but from the evening there may be thunderstorms with tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts of wind, causing danger at sea and in mountainous areas.

Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Khanh Hoa , Central Highlands and the South have scattered showers and thunderstorms, locally heavy rain with rainfall of 10-30mm, locally over 60mm.

The heat wave is forecast to spread to other areas in the coming days. Specifically, today and tomorrow (July 15), heat waves will occur in some provinces and cities in the Central region. Then from Wednesday (July 16) to Friday (July 18), heat waves will spread throughout the Thanh Hoa region to Hue and the South Central Coast. The highest temperature is commonly 35 - 37 degrees Celsius, with some places above 37 degrees Celsius.

The meteorological agency also warned that there will be thunderstorms in many places. The thunderstorms come quickly, unexpectedly and are concentrated in the evening. In the mountainous areas of the North, there will be scattered showers and thunderstorms, locally heavy rain with rainfall ranging from 15 - 30 mm, in some places over 70 mm.
