Ho Chi Minh City has received more than 96 billion VND to support people in flood-affected areas.

On the morning of October 16, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City updated the situation of receiving donations to support people in provinces affected by storms and floods, from August 1 to present.

Accordingly, as of 6:00 p.m. on October 15, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City - Ho Chi Minh City Relief Mobilization Committee has received 96,016,271,191 VND in donations and support for people in provinces affected by storms and floods, from 11,491 units, agencies, businesses and individuals in the area.

Of these, cash donations were more than VND 8 billion (294 donations); donations collected through Treasury accounts were nearly VND 43.3 billion (1,418 donations); donations collected through Bank accounts were nearly VND 44.7 billion (9,779 donations).

The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City - Ho Chi Minh City Relief Mobilization Committee has disbursed VND 67.28 billion in support to people in storm and flood areas, specifically: supporting 56 households affected by storms and tornadoes in Ho Chi Minh City, each household with VND 5 million, worth VND 280 million; transferring support funds to people affected by rain and floods in Nghe An province (VND 15 billion), Dong Thap (VND 1 billion), Dien Bien (VND 2.5 billion), Son La (VND 2.5 billion), Ha Tinh (VND 15 billion), Quang Tri (VND 5 billion), Ninh Binh (VND 2 billion), Thanh Hoa (VND 2 billion), Hung Yen (VND 2 billion), Thai Nguyen (VND 10 billion), Bac Ninh (VND 5 billion), Cao Bang (VND 3 billion) and Lang Son (VND 2 billion). At the same time, organize visits, encourage and support people directly affected by storms and floods in the Northern and North Central provinces on September 19 and 20 and October 6 and 7.

It is expected that on October 15 and 16, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City - Ho Chi Minh City Relief Mobilization Committee will continue to organize a delegation to visit, encourage and support people affected by storms and floods in Thai Nguyen and Bac Ninh provinces.
