Ha Giang Regional Medical Center disinfects schools in Ha Giang 2 ward

On the afternoon of October 16, the Ha Giang Regional Medical Center coordinated with the Military Command of Ha Giang Ward 2 to carry out disinfection spraying at 14 schools in the ward. This is an activity to ensure a safe school environment after floods and to prevent the risk of disease outbreaks.

During this period, the Ha Giang Regional Medical Center was provided with 45 kg of Cloramin B chemicals by the Provincial Center for Disease Control to serve the disinfection work. The medical force and militia were divided into 7 teams, spraying simultaneously at schools, each classroom, restroom, kitchen and the area around the school yard. At the same time, the schools carried out general cleaning, collected waste, cleaned water tanks and disinfected school supplies, ensuring completion before October 17.

The disinfection spraying was carried out under the direction of the People's Committee of Ha Giang 2 Ward, after a number of students showed signs of fever, vomiting, and diarrhea. To ensure health safety, the People's Committee of the Ward has allowed preschool, primary, and secondary school students to temporarily stop going to school from October 16 to 19 for cleaning, disinfection, and health checks.

Along with professional activities, the medical force has integrated propaganda and guidance for schools to carry out environmental sanitation, periodic disinfection and maintain classroom hygiene, contributing to ensuring a safe learning environment and preventing epidemics after floods.
