Building comprehensive human development in Phu Tho

Determining that no resource is more valuable than human resources, in recent years, the province has focused on implementing many solutions to build Phu Tho people with comprehensive development in terms of qualities, personality, capacity and physical strength. To continue to build Phu Tho people with comprehensive development in the new period, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has advised the Provincial People's Committee to issue the Project on cultural and human development of Phu Tho province for the period 2025 - 2035, with a vision to 2045.

In the period of 2020 - 2025, the cause of building and developing culture and people of Phu Tho province has made much progress, achieving important achievements. Specifically, in the field of education and training, step by step forming a young generation that is both rich in knowledge and rich in humanity, with a strong will to face the impacts of modern society. In the field of labor - employment, the province promotes vocational training associated with market needs; encourages the spirit of entrepreneurship and innovation, especially among young people. Industrial zones, clusters, and traditional craft villages become practical environments for workers to practice skills, improve their skills, and access new technologies.

People's physical strength and health are also taken care of with many synchronous solutions. The health system from the province to the grassroots level has been invested in and upgraded; universal health care programs and primary medical examination and treatment have been effectively implemented. The mass sports movement has developed strongly, from football and volleyball tournaments to sports activities in residential areas, contributing to forming healthy and active living habits in the community.

The highlight in building Phu Tho people is the combination of preserving traditional values ​​and promoting the spirit of the times. Today's people of the Ancestral Land both carry within themselves the beauty of their original culture and are dynamic, creative, and adaptable to the requirements of international integration. The province has been promoting digital transformation in education, health care, and social management, creating conditions for people to access modern science and technology, expand their knowledge, and improve their working capacity in a globalized environment.

Along with that, social security work is ensured, people's lives are gradually improved, creating an important foundation for each person to have conditions for comprehensive development. Sustainable poverty reduction programs, new rural construction, and support for people in difficult areas have helped tens of thousands of households escape poverty and have a stable life. People's lives have improved, with average income per capita in 2025 estimated at 4.7 million VND/month (up 37% compared to 2020). Policies for people with meritorious services to the revolution, relatives of martyrs, poor households, and near-poor households have been fully implemented. On average, 58,000 new jobs are created each year, maintaining a low unemployment rate (from 1 - 1.6%), and the rate of agricultural labor is 22.5%. Ethnic and religious policies are well implemented, ensuring freedom of belief and religion, contributing to strengthening the great national unity bloc. Mobilizing over 2,655 billion VND to implement programs and policies for ethnic minority and mountainous areas; the appearance of ethnic minority and mountainous areas is increasingly improving, the life of people in mountainous, remote and isolated areas is gradually improving, the poverty rate in ethnic minority and mountainous areas is reduced by an average of 1.4%/year, the average income is 1.8 times higher than in 2020. Cultural institutions at the grassroots level are invested synchronously, helping to improve people's spiritual life.

In the period of industrialization, modernization and international integration, Phu Tho people are being built in the direction of knowledge, skills, health, ethics, civilized lifestyle and aspirations to rise up. This is an important resource to bring Phu Tho to develop quickly and sustainably in the new period. To realize that aspiration, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has advised the Provincial People's Committee to issue the Project on cultural and human development of Phu Tho province in the period of 2025 - 2035, with a vision to 2045. According to comrade Duong Hoang Huong - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the development of the Project is very necessary, in order to comprehensively assess the potentials and advantages in developing the province's cultural career; the achievements as well as the difficulties and limitations. From there, set out goals, tasks and solutions for developing Phu Tho culture and people to meet the requirements of the new development period; Making culture the foundation, important and sustainable resource for the socio-economic development of the province.
