More than 1,000 billion VND sent to the Central Relief Mobilization Committee to support people affected by natural disasters and floods

On October 16, Mr. Do Van Chien, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, received support from the Party Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the overseas Vietnamese community in the amount of more than 12 billion VND to share with people in provinces heavily affected by storms and floods.

Presenting the donation to the Central Relief Mobilization Committee - Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Mr. Le Hoai Trung, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs shared: Responding to the call of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front to mobilize support for compatriots to overcome the damage caused by storm No. 10, on the morning of October 3, 2025, the Party Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs organized a launching ceremony calling on all officials and employees of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the overseas Vietnamese community to actively support materially and spiritually the people of the provinces that are suffering from storms and floods.

As of October 13, 2025, the amount of donations from the Party Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the overseas Vietnamese community was more than 12 billion VND and more than 5,000 USD. Most of the above amount has been deposited into the account of the Central Relief Mobilization Committee - Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.

According to Mr. Le Hoai Trung, besides the areas with a large number of Vietnamese people living such as Germany, France, Czech Republic, Laos, Cambodia... with donations amounting to billions of VND, there are areas that, despite facing many difficulties in work and life, are still very active in organizing donation activities and have promptly transferred money to the Vietnam Fatherland Front account such as: overseas Vietnamese in Cuba 154 million VND; Mongolia 181 million VND; Belarus 19 million VND... with diverse forms of donations such as organizing charity concerts, directly holding donation boxes at shopping centers... to call for support for compatriots. Currently, representative agencies and the Vietnamese community are continuing to organize donation activities, the donations will continue to be compiled and transferred to the account of the Central Relief Mobilization Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front as soon as possible.

Expressing his appreciation for the role and proactiveness of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in the face of the heavy losses caused by floods, Mr. Le Hoai Trung stated: The Party Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and overseas Vietnamese hope that this amount of money will contribute to the Party and State to promptly support the people of the provinces to have more motivation to overcome difficulties.

Receiving the precious sentiments, hearts, and support from the Party Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the overseas Vietnamese community, on behalf of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Mr. Do Van Chien expressed his emotion and appreciated the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for always being a bridge in propaganda and mobilizing overseas Vietnamese to join hands to support when the country is facing difficulties due to natural disasters and epidemics; at the same time, coordinating efforts to allocate support resources from international friends to the people of the provinces affected by storms and floods.

Referring to the damage caused by storm No. 10 and the circulation of storm No. 11 to provinces and cities in recent times, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Do Van Chien shared: With the strong direction of the Politburo and the Secretariat, the people of the provinces are focusing on overcoming and rebuilding their lives after the floods. Together with the support resources of the Party and the State, up to now, the amount of donations through the account of the Central Relief Mobilization Committee has reached over 1,000 billion VND, of which, Vingroup Corporation has initially donated 500 billion VND with a commitment to accompany the Vietnam Fatherland Front to promptly support families who have been severely affected by storm after storm and flood after flood in recent days.

“We are committed to using the donated resources for the right purposes, effectively, allocating them to the right addresses and in accordance with the law,” Chairman Do Van Chien emphasized, hoping that in the coming time, every Vietnamese person, whether at home or overseas, will continue to promote the tradition of mutual love and support, loving others as they love themselves, each person with a heart so that people in flood-affected areas will have more resources to overcome difficulties and soon stabilize their lives.

During the day, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Do Van Chien received support from 5 universities under the Ministry of Industry and Trade in the amount of 2 billion VND, including: Hanoi University of Industry 400 million VND; Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry 500 million VND; University of Economics and Industrial Technology 400 million VND; Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade 400 million VND; University of Electricity 300 million VND.

Representatives of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front also received support from many agencies, organizations and individuals to join hands to support people in the provinces to overcome the consequences caused by floods, such as: Bao Viet Group 2 billion VND; Phenikaa Group 1 billion VND; Mai Viet Real Estate Joint Stock Company 300 million VND; Association of Vietnamese in Upha City - Russian Federation 255 million VND; ACAC Academy Joint Stock Company 30 million VND...
