
According to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee (VFF) of Ho Chi Minh City, since the beginning of September, the city's Relief Mobilization Committee has mobilized more than 68 billion VND to send to localities severely affected by floods. Of which, Nghe An and Ha Tinh each received 15 billion VND; Thai Nguyen 10 billion VND; Quang Tri 5 billion VND; Dien Bien, Son La, Bac Ninh , Cao Bang, Lang Son, Hung Yen, Thanh Hoa... also received support from 2 to 3 billion VND.
In addition, Ho Chi Minh City has also supported 56 households affected by storms in the area, each with 5 million VND. It is expected that next week, working groups from Ho Chi Minh City will continue to visit and give gifts to people in Thai Nguyen and Bac Ninh.
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Trung, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Farmers' Association said: "In the past few days, thousands of people in the city, despite their low income, are still willing to take out their small savings to share with people in flooded areas. Many agencies, units, businesses, and artists have also proactively supported with money, goods, and meaningful volunteer activities."

Among the notable businesses, UNIQLO Vietnam, a global fashion retail brand from Japan, donated VND1 billion and more than 3,400 RE.UNIQLO products to support disaster relief. The donation was given to the Hope Foundation to renovate schools, equip learning facilities and support students and teachers in severely affected areas.
Mr. Akiyama Naoki, General Director of UNIQLO Vietnam, shared: “We believe that a brand can only truly develop sustainably when it accompanies the community. We hope that these small gifts will help students return to class safely soon and continue to nurture their dreams."
At the same time, VNGGames, a unit of VNG Group, quickly donated 7 billion VND through the Vietnam Fatherland Front to provide emergency support to people in Thai Nguyen, Lao Cai, Yen Bai, Lang Son, and Cao Bang provinces. Mr. La Xuan Thang, Director of Online Game Publishing of VNGGames, said that with the spirit of mutual love, we hope to contribute a small part to help people in flood-affected areas stabilize their lives soon, restore their homes and schools.

Saigon Beer – Alcohol – Beverage Corporation (SABECO) has also supported 3 billion VND for people in flood-affected areas through the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee. Mr. Lester Tan, General Director of SABECO, said that the company always accompanies the Vietnamese people to overcome natural disasters, considering this a social responsibility and a way to honor the Vietnamese spirit of perseverance and humanity. Representative of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Mr. Vu Van Tien acknowledged SABECO's gesture, affirmed that the company's cooperation contributes to spreading the spirit of national solidarity and will deploy on-site support for the people of Nghe An and areas heavily affected by the flood.
In addition to businesses, many artists and social organizations also actively joined hands. Singers Dan Truong, My Tam, Ha Anh Tuan and the FWD Run For Dreams group organized performances, donating more than 3 billion VND to the Central Relief Fund. Many volunteer groups such as "Saigon Zero-Dong Kitchen", "Hand in Hand", "Crescent Moon"... also donated thousands of gifts of clothes, rice, instant noodles... to send to the beloved northern provinces.
Acts of kindness, whether it is a warm coat, a few kilos of rice or billions of dong from large enterprises, all contribute to lighting up the spirit of charity of the people of Ho Chi Minh City - a city that is always at the forefront of movements for the community and for our beloved flood-affected compatriots.
