Lao Cai City is ready for the music night "Celebrating the National Day" on the evening of April 30

In the last days of April, preparations for a series of activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025) in Lao Cai city were taking place urgently.

The highlight of the activities is the music night "Celebrating the National Day" which will be held at 8:00 p.m. on April 30 at the public space of Trang A Pao Street, Kim Tan Ward.

According to Ms. Bui Minh Thu, Director of the Lao Cai City Center for Culture, Sports and Communications, preparations for this special art program are now basically complete. The music night will bring together many famous artists, bringing to the people and tourists unique and emotional performances, recreating the heroic history of the nation.

At this time, regardless of rain or shine, event organizers are rushing to make the final preparations for the gala night. The event space at Trang A Pao Street has been carefully renovated from the stage, sound, lighting to the decoration system.

The art program on the evening of April 30 at the public space of Trang A Pao Street will have special performances such as: "The Party Flag", "Spring in Lao Cai" performed by Meritorious Artist Viet Hoan; " Ho Chi Minh is the most beautiful name", "The Country's Lullaby" performed by People's Artist Pham Phuong Thao; "My City Lao Cai", the medley "I Love the Vietnamese - My Homeland" performed by singer Dinh Dung; and many other performances by famous singers, artists, and actors. The program promises to bring a special art space to serve the people and tourists coming to Lao Cai city.

Along with that, from April 28 to May 4, Lao Cai city organized a culinary space to introduce local products and OCOP products to further promote the image of Lao Cai to friends and tourists. The "Summer Dance" contest on the evening of April 29 and the live broadcast of the parade on the morning of April 30 also contributed to enriching the series of commemorative activities.

Logistics and decoration work for the event is being urgently deployed.

Mr. Nguyen Van Viet, representative of the event organizer Kiwin, shared: "As of noon on April 29, the decoration work for the event has been completed by about 70%. We are mobilizing all human resources to complete the final items in the afternoon of April 29, ready for the music night to take place as planned."

To ensure security and safety for the events, Lao Cai city has made detailed plans and assigned specific tasks to each force. Traffic control checkpoints, security and order forces, fire prevention and fighting have been deployed, especially in Kim Tan ward - where the main activities take place.

The organizers also said that to create a brilliant and heroic festival atmosphere, during the music night "Celebrating the national festival", the program's organizers prepared thousands of national flags for the audience and delegates to create a "forest of flags" in bright red at this event, expressing national pride in the great festival.

Regarding the preparation work, Mr. Ngo Vu Quoc, Vice Chairman of Lao Cai City People's Committee said: The city leaders have directed communes and wards to clean up the environment, decorate the streets with flags, banners, and slogans. We have basically completed the preparations, especially for the large-scale, elaborate, and magnificent art performance night. This is an art program to pay tribute to previous generations. In addition, we also organize cultural and sports activities for people to participate in, creating a competitive atmosphere and attracting tourists to Lao Cai city.
