Accordingly, the arrangement of commune-level administrative units in Tra Vinh city is as follows:
Merge the entire natural area of 0.29km 2 , population of 3,885 people of Ward 2 and the entire natural area of 1.01km 2 , population of 10,960 people of Ward 6 into Ward 3. After merging, Ward 3 has an area of 1.47km 2 and a population of 18,644 people.
After the arrangement, Tra Vinh city has 08 commune-level administrative units, including 07 wards and 01 commune.
After rearranging commune-level administrative units, Tra Vinh province has 09 district-level administrative units, including 07 districts, 01 town and 01 city; 104 commune-level administrative units, including 85 communes, 09 wards and 10 towns.
This Resolution was passed by the Standing Committee of the 15th National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam at its 39th session on November 14, 2024; effective from January 1, 2025.
The Government, the People's Council, the People's Committee of Tra Vinh province and relevant agencies and organizations are responsible for organizing the implementation of this Resolution; arranging and perfecting the apparatus of local agencies and organizations; stabilizing the lives of local people, ensuring the requirements of socio -economic development, national defense and security in the area.
The Government directs relevant ministries and Tra Vinh provincial authorities to continue researching and developing appropriate reorganization plans for administrative units that are subject to reorganization but have not yet been reorganized in the 2023-2025 period, and to determine a roadmap for completing necessary standards and conditions to ensure reorganization in the following years in accordance with regulations.
