In response to citizens' and public opinion's reflections on irregularities in the entrance exam scores for grade 10 high school in Thai Binh province, the Chairman of the Thai Binh Provincial People's Committee requested the Provincial Inspectorate to conduct an emergency inspection of the implementation of legal policies, duties and powers of the Departmentof Education and Training, the Director of the Department of Education and Training and related organizations and individuals in organizing the entrance exam for grade 10.
The Department of Home Affairs shall preside over and coordinate with relevant units to advise the Party Committee of the Provincial People's Committee to report to the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee to consider and decide to temporarily suspend Mr. Nguyen Viet Hien, Director of the Department of Education and Training, to serve inspection activities in accordance with the provisions of law.
The Chairman of the People's Committee of Thai Binh province requested the Police and the Department of Information and Communications to send officers and civil servants with sufficient capacity and qualifications to participate in inspections according to the provisions of the Inspection Law 2024.
Previously, when the results of the 10th grade entrance exam in Thai Binh were announced, many parents, teachers, and students taking the exam were extremely surprised because the scores did not accurately reflect the test results of the candidates.
When the results of the re-examination were announced, public opinion was again stirred up by the fact that the scores of the subjects were very different from the first graded scores, ranging from 1.25 to 5.75. The biggest difference was in the Math test of candidate number 2604xx. The first graded score of this student was 3.75, the re-examination score was 9.5.
