Removing difficulties in implementing the two-level government model

On the morning of September 19, at the People's Committee of Giong Rieng commune, the Department of Home Affairs of An Giang province held a conference to remove difficulties and obstacles in implementing the 2-level local government model in the field of home affairs.

Mr. Nguyen Van Du, Deputy Director of the Department of Wages and Social Insurance, Ministry of Home Affairs , spoke at the conference.

At the conference, the communes reflected many difficulties, such as: Lack of public servants and officials; inadequacies in the work of arrangement, appointment, and transfer; limitations in policies and mechanisms for the education career; infrastructure of public administration centers does not meet requirements; emulation and reward work is not appropriate. Among them, Thanh Hung commune is currently lacking 7 positions, the workload is high but the salary regime is not commensurate; the public administration center has a small area, the online software is often blocked...

The representative of the Provincial Department of Home Affairs acknowledged and gave initial guidance on how to resolve the issues, and acknowledged that issues beyond its authority would be compiled and reported to higher levels for consideration. Deputy Director of the Department of Wages and Social Insurance Nguyen Van Du emphasized that listening to and synthesizing opinions from the grassroots level is an important issue for the Ministry of Home Affairs to study and propose appropriate policies, contributing to improving the effectiveness and efficiency of the 2-level local government model.
