Number of deaths: 0 deaths were recorded today. Average number of deaths recorded over the past 7 days: 1. The total number of deaths due to Covid-19 in Vietnam to date is 43,201, accounting for 0.4% of the total number of infections.
The total number of deaths ranks 26th out of 231 territories, and the number of deaths per million population ranks 141st out of 231 countries and territories worldwide . Compared to Asia, the total number of deaths ranks 7th out of 50 (3rd in ASEAN), and the number of deaths per million population ranks 29th out of 50 Asian countries and territories (5th in ASEAN).
On May 15th, 4,867 doses of the Covid-19 vaccine were administered. Thus, the total number of vaccine doses administered is 266,339,668, including: 223,693,897 doses for people aged 18 and over: 70,908,851 doses of the first dose; 68,453,258 doses of the second dose; 14,343,935 doses of the booster dose; 52,122,810 doses of the first booster dose; and 17,865,043 doses of the second booster dose. 23,965,543 doses for children aged 12-17: 9,130,889 doses of the first dose; and 9,021,366 doses of the second dose. The first booster dose was 5,813,288 doses. The total number of doses for children aged 5-11 years is 18,680,228 doses: 10,221,246 doses for the first dose; and 8,458,982 doses for the second dose.
