According to the announcement of Vietnam Expressway Engineering Services Joint Stock Company (VEC E), from October 9, corrugated iron fences serving the construction of the expansion of the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh Expressway will be installed.
The barrier will occupy part of the emergency lane. Vehicles passing the barrier must reduce their speed to 60km/h. At the barrier sections, the unit will place signs indicating the end of the speed limit.

For now, the affected section is about 700m long (from Km20+200 to Km20+900), from Ho Chi Minh City to Long Thanh. Other fenced areas will be added by the construction unit and announced on VOV Giao thong channel.
VEC E recommends that drivers comply with traffic signs and signals to move safely.
Previously, Vietnam Expressway Corporation (VEC) had developed a traffic diversion plan to ensure both traffic maintenance and construction of the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh Expressway expansion.
In this plan, VEC has warned that the project implementation process will cause lane narrowing, reduce operating speed and increase the risk of traffic congestion.
During the launching and installation phase, due to the lack of public roads, the construction unit will transport the beams on the existing highway and proceed to launch them horizontally. The investor will fence off the emergency lane and the adjacent lane for construction vehicles to move.
