Quang Tri: Tuyen Phu Commune Police rescue girl kidnapped in Cambodia

On October 9, Tuyen Phu Commune Police (Quang Tri Province) announced that the unit had just coordinated to successfully rescue Ms. D.TV (born in 2005, residing in Tuyen Phu Commune) who was kidnapped while working in Cambodia.

According to the police, on September 9, Ms. V. went from Vietnam to Cambodia to work and hired a taxi to get to her workplace. However, the driver took her to a deserted area, confiscated her phone, forced her into another car, and sold her to a group of people in the autonomous region bordering Cambodia and Thailand. There, the victim was forced to work and was regularly beaten and abused.

Ms. V was brought back to her hometown.

In desperation, Ms. V. asked permission to call home to "ask for ransom". When she had the chance, she contacted her family and explained the whole story. Immediately after receiving the information, Tuyen Phu Commune Police immediately reported to the Quang Tri Provincial Police Department, and at the same time deployed professional measures and coordinated with relevant parties to find a way to rescue her.

After many days of connecting and exchanging with the management of the autonomous region, the Tuyen Phu Commune Police force was able to bring Ms. V. back to Vietnam safely. Moved by the sense of responsibility and dedication of the police force, Ms. V. wrote a letter expressing her deep gratitude.

Tuyen Phu Commune Police also warned people to be vigilant when going to work abroad, and to absolutely not move on their own or believe in attractive offers to avoid falling into the trap of transnational human trafficking crimes.
