At the exam center at Ngo Tat To Secondary School (Phu Nhuan Ward, Ho Chi Minh City), Deputy Head of the exam center Ngo Thanh Bao said that the center has 707 candidates in 30 exam rooms.
On the day of exam registration (May 31st), thanks to thorough briefings on exam regulations, the number of candidates leaving their belongings in the designated area was very small. The first day of the exam (yesterday, June 1st) proceeded safely and seriously.
During the Literature exam, a student who arrived late to the exam site was picked up from their home by a police officer on duty at the site and driven to the exam before the exam papers were distributed.
Additionally, at the examination site, one candidate had a broken right wrist and was wearing a cast. However, at the request of the candidate and their family, the student was allowed to take the exam along with the other candidates.

Sharing her thoughts before entering the exam room, Do Nguyen Hong Quyen, a 9th-grade student from Doc Lap Secondary School (Duc Nhuan Ward), said that her secret to acing the Math exam was to answer the easy questions first and the difficult ones later.
After the Math exam, Hong Quyen's 10th grade entrance exam ended because she did not register for a specialized/integrated program. She plans to catch up on sleep after the stressful days of exam preparation.

As for Truong Huynh Duy Khiem, a 9th-grade student from Doc Secondary School, he is confident in the algebra section. For the geometry section, his strategy is to prioritize basic questions to earn points, and if there is still time, he will think about the more difficult questions. Duy Khiem registered Phan Dang Luu High School as his first choice, so he feels quite relaxed going into the final exam.
For Pham Tran Minh Trang, a 9th-grade student at Ngo Tat To Secondary School, she spends a lot of time reviewing Math because it is the subject she is most worried about among the three subjects in the 10th-grade entrance exam.
"In previous years' math exams, question 6 was usually the most challenging and practical problem. I plan to try to score points on the remaining questions, and I'll only attempt question 6 if I have time left. Yesterday, my results in Literature and Foreign Language were quite good, so I'm confident I'll get accepted into my first choice, Marie Curie High School," Minh Trang shared.

This morning, candidates took the final of the three compulsory subjects in the 10th grade entrance exam: Mathematics, with a time limit of 120 minutes.
After the Math exam ends, candidates who only registered for regular 10th grade classes have completed the 10th grade entrance exam. However, candidates who registered for specialized/integrated 10th grade classes will take an additional specialized/integrated subject exam this afternoon (June 2nd), with a time limit of 150 minutes.
