From the structure of the questions, the content of the materials to the ways of posing problems in the two reading and writing sections, all show innovative efforts, bringing many interests, challenges and opportunities for candidates who are eager to learn, explore , have independent thinking and interpretation on issues in literature as well as social life.

According to Ms. Pham Ha Thanh, a teacher at Le Quy Don High School - Ha Dong ( Hanoi ), with this test, there will be quite a lot of papers that score 7. In fact, the test score will be higher; this also depends on the openness of the answer. When evaluating questions that require candidates to write their feelings and thoughts about their love for their homeland, the examiner needs to be flexible. If the answer is too detailed, the examiner has to compare the paper with the answer, then the candidate's paper will hardly get a high score.

For example, with part 2 of writing, candidates can develop in many different directions. Some students will describe expressions of love for their homeland and country, while others will emphasize the spirit of dedication, the awareness of building or protecting the country...

During the implementation process, some students will focus on a certain idea and not be able to write all the ideas. So what will the scoring requirements be? Only give high scores to students whose writing is highly general, and those who write quite well but only focus on one aspect will still not get high scores, or will all students get high scores? Therefore, the situation of the literature exam scores depends on the answer of the Ministry of Education and Training.

On the other hand, the exam length is limited to 600 words, with a broad topic like this, candidates will generally write longer. Will the examiners be allowed to be lenient with long but good essays? According to Ms. Ha Thanh, the differentiation of this essay will mainly be shown in question 2 of the writing part (social argumentation). But this question is quite dependent on the quality of the marking.

MATH IS NO LONGER A "LUCKY" SCORES

Mr. Tran Ngoc Minh, a math teacher at Quynh Luu 1 High School (Nghe An), said that the math exam for the 2025 high school graduation exam closely follows the orientation and sample exam of the Ministry of Education and Training. With this exam, average students only get 4 - 4.5 points. The element of luck is very little left. Previously, with questions that had available answers, candidates could "guess", but now with short answers, this cannot be done.

Therefore, according to Mr. Minh, this year's math score range is likely to be 1 - 1.5 points lower than last year. Most candidates will score from 6 - 6.75 points.

With last year's test, if you can do 33 recognition and understanding questions, you can get 6.6 points. With the remaining 17 questions, even if you don't know how to do them, you can still randomly choose to get 7 questions right, getting about 1 - 1.4 points more. This year, you have to do the test and have the answers to fill in. Students can still have a little luck in the right or wrong part, but the chance of getting lucky is greatly reduced.

From a professional perspective, Mr. Minh assessed that this was a good exam. If we reduced a few points in the short answers, or the right and wrong answers so that the average candidates could do a little more, the candidates would be happier, but that would make it difficult for universities when considering admissions. The important thing is that the exam limits luck, so good candidates can rest assured that whatever they do will be recognized. As for last year, good candidates scored up to 8.5 and if they were lucky, they could get an extra 0.5, and some students even got lucky and got up to 0.75 points.

Teacher Diep Tinh, Nguyen Binh Khiem High School for the Gifted (Quang Nam), predicts that achieving a score of 5 in math is not difficult for most students. The common score range in the score spectrum will be from 6 to 8. However, achieving a score of 9 or 10 is difficult, even achieving a score of 8 is difficult.

Literature test is not tricky but differentiates

Mr. Do Duc Anh, a teacher at Bui Thi Xuan High School (District 1, Ho Chi Minh City), commented that the questions were good, humane, relevant to current events, and highly educational. The questions were not too challenging but had good classification, helping average candidates get good scores and excellent candidates have the opportunity to express their depth of thinking and perception.

The topic arouses deep thinking about patriotism, solidarity and solidarity between regions. Question 5, comparing two texts (authors Nguyen Minh Chau and Che Lan Vien), is a high-level application question. This is the highlight of the question, because it requires students to connect and compare to discover the meeting point of ideas in two expressions: "the homeland sky" is not only where we live, but also where we entrust our souls and are sacredly attached. This question is quite difficult and students can easily lose points. With this test, the range of scores from 6 to 7 will probably be high, but scores of 8 must be from truly good candidates.

Master Nguyen Phuoc Bao Khoi, Ho Chi Minh City University of Education, said that the appearance of the fifth question helped the exam to partly meet the requirement of comparing literary texts, which is a popular type of argumentative essay in grade 12. This is also an important suggestion for teachers and students to have a direction for future review.

Mr. Ly Tran A Khuong, teacher at the Gifted High School, Ho Chi Minh City National University, Head of the Literature Department at the DOL Dinh Luc education system, said: "The writing requirement, 4 points, the topic "any homeland's sky is the Fatherland's sky" is very sharp, showing the spirit of a national exam. The important thing here is that the exam is not only topical, but it also connects both the reading comprehension and writing sections. The exam not only assesses the candidate's skills but also shows the innovative spirit of the exam."
