The United States provided Ukraine with a large number of Bradley armored vehicles earlier this year. In the counter-offensive in early June, Kiev used many Bradleys and weapons donated by the West.
Serhiy and Andriy, two soldiers from the Ukrainian 47th Brigade, told ABC News that they and many of their comrades are alive today because of the "perfection" of the Bradley armored vehicles. The 47th Brigade participated in a large-scale counterattack in the Zaporizhzhia region of southern Ukraine.

"Without the protection of the Bradley armored vehicle, many of my comrades and I would have died from mines, artillery and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) attacks," said Andriy, a soldier who piloted a Bradley. "We were hit many times. If we had used another armored personnel carrier, we would all have died."

The Bradley armored vehicles that the US donated to Ukraine are equipped with 25 mm guns, anti-tank missiles and have a range of 480 km.
"Only one person was concussed when the Bradley was hit by two 150mm shells in quick succession," said soldier Serhiy, who survived the attack.
The open-source website Oryx, which tracks military vehicle losses from both Kiev and Moscow, says Ukraine has lost 24 Bradleys so far.
Ukraine has long been preparing for a large-scale counteroffensive to retake territory controlled by Russia. However, as Ukrainian officials admit, their counteroffensive since early June has made only modest progress.

In that context, The Wall Street Journal reported that the US is considering sending the Army Tactical Missile System (ATACMS) to Ukraine in the hope of "changing the game".
"Washington may approve sending ATACMS to Ukraine" - The Wall Street Journal on June 29 (US time) quoted US and European officials.
With a range of up to 300 km, ATACMS can be used to strike deep inside Russian logistics facilities without the need for aircraft support.
RT (Russia) commented that the US still does not want to provide longer-range weapons to Ukraine due to concerns about the possibility of escalating the war.

Russia says 2 Ukrainian generals killed
Two Ukrainian generals are believed to have been killed in a Russian precision-guided attack on the city of Kramatorsk in the Donbass region on June 27.
The above information was posted by RT on June 29, citing a statement from the Russian Ministry of Defense.
"We attacked the temporary base of the 56th Motorized Infantry Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. At the time of the attack, the base was hosting a meeting with the participation of dozens of Ukrainian officers and foreign advisers," the Russian Defense Ministry said.
Russia also announced that it will continue to repel Ukrainian attacks in Zaporizhzhia province as well as in Donbass.
