Recently, the Turkish Embassy in Vietnam announced that from September 1, Vietnamese citizens holding ordinary passports can apply for e-visas (electronic visas) to travel to this country.
E-visa is valid for 180 days, maximum stay is 30 days per entry.
Great expectations from attractive market
Türkiye's granting of e-visas to Vietnamese citizens is considered by travel companies as a great opportunity to attract more visitors to this country - located between the Asian and European continents.
Türkiye tourism is considered a potential market to exploit because this place is not yet a popular destination for Vietnamese tourists.

Sharing with Dan Tri reporter, Ms. Le Thuy Nhung (Deputy Head of Retail Tourism Department, Vietravel Company) said that there are many practical benefits when Vietnamese citizens can apply for an electronic visa before entering Turkey.
According to Ms. Nhung, with this procedure, customers do not need to roll their fingerprints when submitting documents and prepare many complicated documents, increasing flexibility in booking tours suitable for customers who book close to the departure date. This policy contributes to attracting a variety of customer groups, especially those who have never been abroad or are afraid of visa procedures.
"The cost of an e-visa is only about 59 USD (more than 1.5 million VND), much lower than the traditional visa price of 180 USD (more than 4.6 million VND), helping to reduce the price of a tour to Türkiye by 2.5 to 3 million VND per guest," said Ms. Nhung.
Meanwhile, Mr. Nguyen Cong Hoan, General Director of Flamingo Redtours, said that issuing e-visas will shorten the visa application time (previously taking 2-4 weeks), from September 1 it could be only a few days.
"Türkiye's e-visa is valid for 180 days, with a maximum stay of 30 days, suitable for short-term tourism or business trips. Therefore, visitors can choose their desired departure date," Mr. Hoan emphasized.
A representative of a travel company in Hanoi said that Türkiye has many beautiful landscapes and relics that are thousands of years old. However, the number of Vietnamese tourists to this market has not "exploded" like other countries, partly due to the high cost of airfare and tour prices.
In recent years, more Vietnamese tourists have been looking into tours to this country, because income has increased and there are direct flights, making travel easier.
"I think that when visa procedures are simplified, the number of tourists to Türkiye will increase sharply in the near future. While the markets of Thailand, Korea, China... are too familiar, Vietnamese people with good incomes will shift to explore more distant countries," this representative added.
According to tourists who have traveled to this country, what makes Türkiye attractive is its 4,000-year history with more than 17 world heritage sites, many historical relics that are still intact, Islamic-style architecture or Cappadocia - a city formed on sedimentary rocks and volcanic eruptions - from about 3 million years ago...
In 2024, Türkiye welcomed 62.26 million international visitors, earning more than 61 billion USD from tourism. This is one of the 4 most visited countries in the world last year.
At Vietravel, Ms. Nhung said that in the summer of 2025, the company recorded a 30-40% increase in the number of Vietnamese tourists going on tours to Türkiye compared to the same period in 2024. On average, there are 4-5 tours per month, and the peak summer season can reach 6-8 tours/month, exceeding the same period in 2024.
"This growth is thanks to Turkish airlines increasing the frequency of flights departing from Vietnam, reduced tour costs, and the attraction of many famous destinations in Türkiye such as Istanbul, Pamukkale, Ephesus...", Ms. Nhung added.
Diverse tours to Türkiye
Tours to Türkiye are being designed in a variety of ways with itineraries of 9 days 8 nights or 11 days 10 nights, prices ranging from 49 million VND to over 90 million VND for customers to easily choose according to their needs.
According to Mr. Hoan, at Flamingo Redtours, guests can choose an 8-day Türkiye tour with 4-star standard service at prices starting from 49.99 million VND. During the trip, guests can visit places such as Pamukkale Cotton "Castle" - where there are white steps made from sedimentary rocks, watch hot air balloons in the fairyland of Cappadocia...

In addition, guests who want a long, connecting journey can combine a tour of Greece and Türkiye for 11 days and 10 nights with prices starting at VND90.9 million.
