In 2024, Bau Thanh Stadium entered the school football map when participating in the 3rd Vietnam Youth Student Football Tournament - 2024 THACO Cup, immediately attracting attention with a grass field of much better quality than professional football fields, spacious stands and a cool green campus.
In the second year hosting the Southeast region qualifying round, local leaders in Long Dien district surprised the Thanh Nien Newspaper survey team, when in addition to the well-maintained sports facilities, they were also upgraded with a more vibrant cultural atmosphere.
In addition to the football field with natural grass, which is considered the most beautiful in the qualifying round of the THACO Cup 2025, the yard area that was previously filled with wild bushes and garbage has been cleared and renovated into the Bau Thanh Learning and Experience Club.
Bau Thanh Learning and Experience Club will help football teams, fans, and students have a place to rest and visit local cultural features.
In the campus of Bau Thanh Learning and Experience Club, there are dozens of small, clean, polite huts cleverly arranged under the cool shade of trees, with subtly interwoven supporting works creating a special harmony with nature.
Private spaces in the form of stilt houses or circular huts, even areas with huts hanging on tall trees, are designed to be sturdy, allowing fans, athletes of the teams and members of the organizing committee to comfortably rest and relax in a space rich in culture and history while waiting for the matches.

In particular, the restaurant inside the club is spacious and well-equipped with hygienic dishes at reasonable prices, which will also help football teams from localities in Ba Ria - Vung Tau province as well as Dong Nai and Binh Duong come here to be assured of ensuring food for the players.

These days, Bau Thanh Cultural Information - Sports Center, Long Dien district is actively maintaining the grass surface with a commitment to keep the field in its original condition 2 weeks before the start of the competition, cutting the grass and rolling the field carefully, waiting for the opening day of the Southeast region qualifying round on January 4, 2025.
During the working session with Thanh Nien Newspaper, the leaders of Long Dien District People's Committee agreed to coordinate the implementation of logistics, security, medical work... at the highest level. Bau Thanh Historical – Cultural Relic is located in Long Phuong Quarter, Long Dien Town, Long Dien District, Ba Ria – Vung Tau Province. The total area of Bau Thanh area is 24 hectares, Bau Thanh has a perimeter of 1,073m with a water surface area of 4.16 hectares, the deepest point is 4.6m.
Bau Thanh Lake is rectangular, deep and basin-shaped, storing fresh water. The water source for the lake is the amount of water brought in during the annual rainy season. In the past, Bau Thanh contained fresh water all year round, never drying up, even during prolonged droughts. Therefore, the people in the area still pass down the above-mentioned folk song.
Bau Thanh, formerly known as "Duc Tuong Tri" (Elephant Bathing Pond), was located at the border under the Nguyen Dynasty and was used for elephants to bathe and drink.
This place was once a military post of the Nguyen Dynasty to protect the security and border of Mo Xoai religion in the early days of the exploration of the Southern land of the Dai Viet people. It was here that the two great victories of the Dai Viet army and people under the Nguyen Dynasty were marked.
The first battle in 1658 was commanded by Dinh Tran Bien's deputy general Ton That Yen, the second battle in 1674 was commanded by Dinh Thai Khang's main general Nguyen Duong Lam, with Nguyen Dien as the vanguard, pacifying Mo Xoai region.
The two battles demonstrated the determination of the army and people of Dai Viet under the Nguyen Dynasty to unite and defeat the aggressive Cham army at the border (Mo Xoai region), protect Vietnamese residents from reclaiming wasteland, and form and build a community of residents in the new land in the South.
The qualifying round of the 3rd Vietnam Youth Student Football Tournament - 2025 THACO Cup has 66 teams divided into 6 groups competing according to geographical areas from December 28, 2024 to January 18, 2025. Specifically, including the northern region (from December 30, 2024 - January 10, 2025 at Thuy Loi University Stadium); the Central Coast region (from January 6 - January 12, 2025 at Military Zone 5 Stadium - Da Nang); the South Central and Central Highlands regions (January 10 - January 18, 2025 at Nha Trang University Stadium); the Southeast region (January 4 - January 12, 2025 at Bau Thanh Stadium, Ba Ria - Vung Tau); Southwestern region (January 8 - January 17, 2025 at Can Tho Stadium) and Ho Chi Minh City region (December 28, 2024 - January 15, 2025 at Ton Duc Thang University Stadium) to select 11 teams with the host team Ton Duc Thang University to compete in the final round of the tournament from March 1 - March 16, 2025.
