Weather change, beware of the possibility of tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong winds accompanied by thunderstorms in Dong Nai

(DN) - On May 7, Dong Nai Hydrometeorological Station forecasted that in the coming days, the hot weather will continue, however, currently in the transition season, there is still a possibility of scattered thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening in Bien Hoa city and the districts of Thong Nhat and Cam My.

Explaining why the weather has been quite hot in recent days, Director of Dong Nai Hydrometeorological Station Nguyen Phuoc Huy said that in recent days, the heat has decreased in intensity and narrowed in the province. However, due to the high humidity, people may feel hot, uncomfortable, and sweat easily when exercising or working.

On May 3 and 4, there was scattered rain in many places in the province, some places had heavy rain such as: Tuc Trung 39mm, La Nga 29mm, Tri An 32mm, Dak Lua 40mm. After that, from May 5 until now, there has been almost no rain in the province, only localized rain in a few places.

The highest temperature measured at meteorological stations yesterday (May 6) was generally 33.8-34.6 degrees Celsius, with Bien Hoa at 35.5 degrees. Relative humidity measured at meteorological stations was between 73-78%.

From May 10, rain is forecast to increase in area and volume. Lowest temperature: 24-27 degrees Celsius, some places above 27 degrees Celsius; highest temperature: 34-36 degrees Celsius, some places above 36 degrees Celsius.

“It is forecasted that in the next 10 days, the province will enter the rainy season, with changing cloudy weather, sunny days, and hot weather in some places. In the afternoon and evening, there will be scattered showers and thunderstorms, with moderate to heavy rain in some places. During this period, it is necessary to be on guard against the possibility of tornadoes, lightning, hail, and strong gusts of wind accompanied by thunderstorms,” Mr. Nguyen Phuoc Huy noted.
