  • Heartwarming moments from the "1,000 VND Vegetarian Noodle Shop"

On the first and fifteenth days of each lunar month, the area in front of Lam Tuyen coffee shop in Tam Hung hamlet, Chau Thoi commune , is unusually bustling. The sounds of knives and cutting boards, the lively laughter and chatter fill the air as everyone busily picks vegetables, washes mushrooms, and stands in the kitchen preparing 200 free vegetarian meals to give to poor laborers and those struggling to make ends meet.

Ms. Le Thi Hong Tham donated free vegetarian meals to poor laborers.

Behind this humane act is Ms. Le Thi Hong Tham, owner of Lam Tuyen coffee shop. For many months, she has regularly spent her own money to buy ingredients, and the youth union members of Chau Thoi commune have joined hands to prepare and distribute meals to the local people.

Sharing her thoughts on this endeavor, Ms. Tham confided: "I only hope that these meals can warm the hearts of the people and make them feel the sharing. For me, the joy doesn't lie in how much I give, but in being able to consistently maintain this kind deed and sow more seeds of compassion in the world."

Youth union members and young people in Chau Thoi commune joined hands to cook vegetarian meals to donate to those in difficult circumstances.

In Hiep Thanh ward, the spirit of sharing is being amplified through the "Free Meal" program. Recently, the ward's Youth Union organized the donation of 100 meals, including vegetarian bread and bottled water, to needy residents. What is particularly commendable is that all costs were covered by generous donors, demonstrating the community's trust and support for the local youth's charitable activities.

For the recipients, these meals are not just a satisfying meal, but also a sincere encouragement, a warmth of human kindness, and a source of strength to overcome daily hardships. For the givers, it's the happiness of seeing radiant smiles, a motivation to continue and spread this beautiful act.

The Hiep Thanh Ward Youth Union donated 100 meals, including vegetarian bread and bottled water, to people in need.

Beyond their material significance, activities like distributing vegetarian meals and providing "free meals" not only contribute to material well-being but also inspire and nurture the beautiful traditions of "helping those in need" and "a little help in times of need is worth more than abundance in times of plenty" within the community. More importantly, these acts of kindness create an environment for youth union members to cultivate a sense of responsibility, live meaningful lives, and learn to be more connected and share with others.

Each meal given away tells a beautiful story of human kindness. From these simple yet persistent acts, kindness is sown, blossoms, and spreads, helping to ignite hope and nurture compassion in society.

Happiness sometimes comes from the simplest things: a vegetarian meal, a loaf of bread, a glass of cool water… but these things contain the heart and love that is shared. It is these simple things that contribute to making life warmer, society more connected, and humane.
