Press Release-VNG was honored by Globee Awards as “Artificial Intelligence Enterprise of the Year”

( Ho Chi Minh City, May 16, 2025) - VNG was honored to receive the Silver Award in the category " Artificial Intelligence Company of the Year" at the Globee Awards for Artificial Intelligence 2025, becoming the only enterprise from Vietnam and Southeast Asia to be honored this year thanks to its outstanding achievements in the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI).

According to the Globee Awards Organizing Committee, VNG was selected based on breakthrough initiatives in deploying AI infrastructure and effectively applying AI technology into practice.

Identifying AI as the spearhead of growth for the new cycle, with the vision of becoming an "AI-First" enterprise within the next 5 years, VNG has deeply integrated AI across the entire ecosystem, while investing comprehensive resources in AI across all 3 layers: infrastructure, platform and application.

In June 2024, GreenNode officially launched one of the first large-scale AI Cloud infrastructures in Southeast Asia in Bangkok, Thailand after less than 6 months of deployment.

At the foundation layer, VNG has tested two directions in parallel: Zalo AI successfully trained KiLM - a large language model (LLM) with the same capacity as GPT-4, helping Vietnam become one of the first three Southeast Asian countries to own its own LLM. In the 2024 Vietnamese LLM Ranking Report of VMLU announced on January 10, the KiLM-13b-v24.7.1 model developed by Zalo scored 66.07 points, just behind Meta's Llama-3-70B.

At the same time, GreenNode builds a comprehensive AI ecosystem based on open source model refinement solutions, helping small and medium-sized enterprises easily apply AI to business operations. The Stable Diffusion model integrated on VNGGames' Artian platform developed by GreenNode has helped reduce 50-70% of design workload and triple performance in many tasks.

Intelligent Document Processing (IDP) solution reduces data errors by 70%, saving billions of VND in costs for 12 banks and financial institutions. TrueID, an electronic identification solution, is integrated in more than 40 banks via SDK/API, meeting the most stringent AI security standards in Vietnam.

At the application level, Zalo is leading the “Make-in-Vietnam” AI wave, turning AI into a trusted companion. 20% of Zalo users (equivalent to 20 million people) are regularly experiencing AI features such as: text-to-speech, voice recognition, real-time translation... In addition, the Vietnamese virtual assistant Kiki Auto has officially reached 1 million installations after 5 years, and Kiki Info - a chatbot built on LLM also recorded nearly 500,000 questions just a few days after its launch.

All of VNG’s core businesses are aggressively experimenting with AI. From game creation and marketing at VNGGames to personalized experiences at Zalo, AI is reshaping the way VNG connects and serves users. Similarly, AI at Zalopay and Digital Business drives financial inclusion and digital transformation for more than 40 banks and over 1,000 domestic enterprises.

VNG also actively contributes to the development of the Vietnamese AI community through initiatives such as the VMLU (Vietnamese Multitask Language Understanding Benchmark Suite for Large Language Models) - launched at the end of 2023, or Zalo AI Summit, Zalo AI Challenge... These initiatives have contributed to promoting innovation and mastery of AI technology by Vietnamese people in accordance with the spirit of Resolution 57-NQ/TW.

The Globee Awards for Artificial Intelligence is a prestigious global award that honors individuals, teams, products, and organizations with outstanding achievements and contributions in advancing the development of artificial intelligence, including technological innovations, practical implementations, and breakthrough achievements in areas such as machine learning, natural language processing, generative AI, and AI solutions for humanity. The Globee Awards evaluation process is transparent and data-driven, with the participation of thousands of global experts and technology leaders. In 2025, more than 2,995 experts registered to be part of the jury for the AI category.
