On the morning of July 21, the functional forces of Xuan Huong Ward - Da Lat, Lam Dong Province coordinated with related units to organize the clearance of the scene, supporting people to overcome the incident of a pine tree falling on a car due to the impact of storm No. 3.
According to initial information, at 5 a.m. the same day, heavy rain and strong winds caused a pine tree about 15 meters high and 70 cm in diameter in Xuan Huong Park, Xuan Huong Ward, Da Lat to fall down, crushing a resident's car.
About 20 meters away, a large pine branch about 30cm in diameter also broke, crushing the roof of a car. Fortunately, there were no casualties in both incidents.
Upon receiving the news, the functional forces of Xuan Huong Ward - Da Lat were present at the scene, organized sawing and moving fallen trees, and coordinated with related units to count the damage to have a treatment plan.
Lam Dong deploys measures to respond to storms and the risk of flash floods and landslides
In order to reduce the impact of storm No. 3 (Wipha), Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee has issued a telegram requesting departments, branches and localities to implement response solutions.
Closely monitor the storm's developments, strictly manage the activities of ships going out to sea; deploy work to ensure safety of people, vehicles and property; prepare forces and means for rescue when required.
