Government delegation worked with Vinh Long province.

The meeting focused on assessing the situation of production and business, export, import, infrastructure construction, social housing, national target programs, disbursement of public investment capital, promoting economic growth in the first 9 months of 2025 and operating 2-level local government in Vinh Long.

The report of the leaders of Vinh Long province at the meeting showed that, in the past time, although the general context faced many difficulties and challenges, under the strong leadership and direction of the Party Committee and the government, along with synchronous solutions, the whole province has achieved important results. The growth rate of the total product in the province (GRDP) in the first 9 months of 2025 reached 6.33%; the total budget revenue was 16,485 billion VND, reaching 77.1% of the yearly plan, up 9.1% over the same period; the total estimated social development investment capital was 45,252 billion VND, reaching 63.99% of the yearly target and up 14.99% over the same period.

The province has paid attention to and well implemented the work of leadership, direction, urging, inspection, review, and handling of difficulties, obstacles, and bottlenecks in production and business; import-export activities and infrastructure construction have changed positively; however, although the national target programs, social housing development, and public investment disbursement have received attention and strong direction, due to many reasons, the disbursement results have not met the plan.

Regarding the implementation of two-level local government, up to now, agencies and units at all levels in the province have completed decisions regulating functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure, assigned tasks, issued resolutions and working regulations, completed the organization and apparatus, put into stable and smooth operation, basically meeting the people's requirements.

The work of resolving regimes and policies for cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers affected by the reorganization of the apparatus has been well implemented; at the same time, the province has also had a plan to strengthen and arrange the missing professional and technical civil servants; completed the arrangement of facilities, equipment and conditions to serve the operations of the agencies after the reorganization; the settlement of administrative procedures for the people has been well implemented...

Regarding banking activities, the State Bank of Region 14 has promptly deployed solutions under the direction of the Governor of the State Bank and the Provincial People's Committee to credit institutions in the area on stabilizing deposit interest rates, striving to reduce lending interest rates, proactively contacting and finding customers, actively reforming administrative procedures, creating favorable conditions for businesses and people to access credit capital...

As of September 30, 2025, the total mobilized capital in the area reached 165,782 billion VND, an increase of 8.84% compared to the end of 2024; outstanding loans reached 175,267 billion VND; an increase of 4.33% compared to the end of 2024. Credit quality is guaranteed. Credit structure focuses on production and business sectors, priority sectors, growth drivers according to the Government 's orientation, and local strengths.

Based on the province's report, opinions, proposals and recommendations of delegates attending the meeting, and direct discussions and answers from representatives of ministries and branches, on behalf of the working delegation, Governor Nguyen Thi Hong highly appreciated the achievements of the Party Committee, government and people of the province in the first 9 months of 2025.

Governor Nguyen Thi Hong said that recently, implementing the direction of the Prime Minister, Government member - Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam has closely coordinated with relevant ministries and branches to remove difficulties and obstacles and review and handle the recommendations of the province before and after the merger.

In the coming time, the international and domestic situation will have many advantages and difficulties, challenges intertwined, especially negative influences from outside. The working group completely agreed and proposed that the province continue to implement socio-economic development solutions, key tasks that the province has been implementing and will implement to achieve the economic growth target of 8% by 2025 and double digits in the following years; as well as organize, arrange and effectively operate the 2-level government apparatus.

Governor Nguyen Thi Hong also said that regarding the proposals and recommendations of Vinh Long, based on the province's report and the opinions of the working group members at the working session, the working group will continue to discuss with the ministries and branches to process and synthesize the report to the Prime Minister.
