(BL-HL) In May 2025, farmers in Vinh Loi district completed harvesting 17,052 hectares of winter-spring rice, with an estimated yield of 7.39 tons/ha. The total rice output reached 126,020 tons, reaching 50.25% of the plan. At the same time, farmers also planted 2,830 hectares of summer-autumn rice.

Also in May, the district focused on guiding farmers to renovate ponds to plant new shrimp crops, recommending farmers to stock shrimp at moderate and reasonable density, and to release in multiple batches to limit damage. The aquaculture area in the month was 559 hectares, bringing the total to 2,039 hectares.

To support and help farmers produce and raise livestock effectively, in the coming time, the functional sector of Vinh Loi district will continue to organize training courses on agricultural and fishery extension, provide guidance on livestock farming techniques, pest control and implement effective models for development and replication; continue to act as a bridge to support farmers in implementing production linkages according to the large-field model associated with product consumption... In addition, continue to implement the restoration of 260 hectares of shrimp farming model to shrimp-rice model in Hung Thanh commune to improve economic efficiency for farmers.
