Reclaiming nearly 200,000 m2 of land from Viet Trung Minerals and Metallurgy Company Limited due to violation of the Land Law

(CLO) According to news from the People's Committee of Lao Cai province, Mr. Hoang Quoc Khanh, Standing Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of this province, has just signed a decision to announce the revocation of nearly 200,000 m2 of land from Viet Trung Minerals and Metallurgy Company Limited due to violations of land laws.

The recovered land area is 196,710 m2 in DTPT lots 5,7,8 according to the detailed planning approved in Decision 1560 dated June 25, 2013 of Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee, located in the land area previously leased by Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee in Decision dated March 1, 2011.

The type of land in use is Industrial Park land, the reason for land revocation is due to violations of land laws as stipulated in Clause 8, Article 81 of the Land Law.

Viet Trung Minerals and Metallurgy Company Limited is responsible for handling and moving all assets out of the recovered land area at Tang Loong Industrial Park, Bao Thang District, Lao Cai Province before October 30, 2024.

On the same day, Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee also announced the decision to reclaim 67,239 m2 of land of IV Construction Company Limited in Bac Cuong Ward and Van Hoa Commune, Lao Cai City, which was previously leased by the Provincial People's Committee on August 14, 2017 due to termination of land use according to the law.

Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Natural Resources and Environment to organize the handover of recovered land area to Lao Cai City People's Committee, Bac Cuong Ward People's Committee and Van Hoa Commune People's Committee in the field and strictly manage it, only allowing it to be used according to the approved land use plan./.
