Nationwide recall and destruction of imported feminine hygiene solutions and shampoos that violate regulations

The Drug Administration of Vietnam (Ministry of Health) has just decided to suspend circulation, recall and destroy violating cosmetics of Uyen Phuong Import-Export Trading Joint Stock Company and Quang Xanh Cosmetics and Chemicals Company Limited.

Betel Leaf Collagen Italia Slim Feminine Hygiene Solution

Specifically, the Drug Administration Department has suspended circulation and recalled nationwide the batch of Betel Leaf Collagen Italia Slim Feminine Hygiene Solution - box of 1 bottle of 150ml. The product has the announcement receipt number: 97/19/CBMP-HY; batch number: 012025; Manufacturing date: 2-1-2025; Expiry date: 1-1-2028.

The product is marketed and manufactured by Quang Xanh Cosmetics and Chemicals Company Limited (Hanh Lac village, Nhu Quynh town, Van Lam district, Hung Yen province). Distributed by Hai Dang International Herbal Medicine Company Limited (Dai Dong, Vinh Tuong, Vinh Phuc ).

The reason for the recall is that the test results did not meet the quality standards for the limits of microorganisms in cosmetics as prescribed. The product batch was produced after the expiration date of the cosmetic product declaration receipt number.

The second product that has been suspended from circulation and recalled nationwide is Hair Head & Hair Revitalizing Oleo-Essence (brand name: Germaine De Capuccini) - 50ml bottle, batch number: Lote G0042 0P10, announcement receipt number 178021/22/CBMP-QLD.

The product is brought to market by Uyen Phuong Import Export Trading Joint Stock Company (address: 2/9 Hong Ha, Ward 2, Tan Binh District, Ho Chi Minh City); manufacturer: Germaine De Capuccini, SAU, Spain.

This product is being recalled because the product's secondary label contains disease prevention and treatment information similar to medicine, causing confusion for users. The original product label does not list the correct ingredients and formula as in the cosmetic product declaration file.

The Drug Administration of Vietnam requests the health departments of provinces and centrally run cities to notify cosmetic businesses and users in the area to immediately stop selling and using the above products.

Conduct recall and destruction of the above-mentioned violating product batches; inspect and supervise units implementing this notice; handle violating units according to current regulations.

The companies that manufacture and distribute the products send recall notices to the places that distribute and use the above products. At the same time, they receive returned products from the business establishments and proceed to recall and destroy the entire batch of products that do not meet the regulations.

The Drug Administration also warned people not to buy or use violating products.
