On the morning of October 8, after carefully surveying the area, some inner-city schools in Hanoi allowed students to return to in-person learning.

According to the leaders of some schools such as Nguyen Du Secondary School (Dai Mo Ward), Nam Phuong Tien A Secondary School (Xuan Mai Commune), Chuong Duong Secondary School (Hong Ha Ward)... after sending staff and teachers to survey the locations around the school and neighboring areas, they saw that the water had receded, combined with the better weather on the morning of October 8, so they allowed students to return to school in person.

At Doan Ket - Hai Ba Trung High School, at 5:50 am on October 8, the school announced that students would return to in-person classes. Students in flooded areas were allowed to stay home, and homeroom teachers compiled a list for the school to plan make-up classes and supplement knowledge in the coming time.

In Xuan Mai commune, because the water level of the Tich and Bui rivers is still high, schools, although allowing students to return to in-person learning, are still closely monitoring the situation to promptly switch to online teaching if there is danger.

However, many schools still maintain online teaching or let primary school students stay home, such as Trung Hoa Secondary School, Xuan Phuong Secondary School, Tay Mo Secondary School, Doan Thi Diem High School, Nghia Do and Nghia Tan Primary Schools. Schools that teach online ask parents to coordinate in managing and supervising their children's learning.

After being updated on the flooding situation, some schools decided not to let students go to class. Others consulted with parents through class groups before making the decision on the morning of October 8. Some schools had to postpone mid-term exams due to flooding...

Faced with the complicated developments of storm No. 11, the Department of Education and the Hanoi Department of Education and Training remind school principals to continue to closely monitor weather forecasts; at the same time, based on actual weather developments in the area, conditions of facilities and traffic safety to proactively decide on the form of teaching and learning organization.

The unit's teaching and learning organization can be carried out in person, online, a combination of in-person and online, or adjust the schedule accordingly; have plans to support students in difficulty and ensure the safety of students as well as school facilities and equipment.
